Brookdale

Brookdale is a mixed-use suburb with rural and residential areas within its boundaries. Belonging to the City of Armadale, Brookdale was originally part of neighbouring suburb Wungong before separating in 1997. The suburbs history is relatively recent with development beginning in the early 1990s and accelerating between 1991 and 1996.

The lifestyle in Brookdale is of a relaxed suburban nature. Its landscape is defined by reserves and parks that provide plenty of open public space to enjoy, such as the Bronze Wing Reserve, Don Simmons Reserve, Fletcher Park and Powel Crescent Reserve. The commercial and amenity requirements of residents in Brookdale are largely served by facilities in neighbouring suburbs like Armadale and there is one local school in the area.
