Meet WA's NAFE winner, Taneale Di Costa

Xceed Real Estate’s Taneale Di Costa was named Australia’s top operational support person at last week’s REIA 2024 National Awards for Excellence.

Taneale attributed her success to the trust and belief of her sales director Jonathan Marlow.

“I noticed an opportunity to update our systems and processes - I went to Jonathan with an idea and my desire to implement it. He had the belief in me and told me to go for it,” she said.

“I analysed processes and data, put new systems in place and worked on ways to grow the company as a whole.

“This award was a nice way to recognise that while the hard work may take a while to show on a company level, it makes a real impact and doesn’t go unnoticed.”

Taneale was the sole WA winner at the national awards gala event, joining winners from across the country in commercial, residential, community engagement, business development, sustainability and innovation categories.

"To say it was surreal is definitely an understatement,” Taneale said.

“While I wasn’t able to make it to Tasmania for the ceremony, they were kind enough to FaceTime me so I could watch my award segment, see all the finalists, and accept the award virtually.

For others looking at a career in real estate, Taneale said having a mentor has been crucial to her success.

“Anything I am not sure about; I am able to ask and learn. I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and opportunities thanks to Jonathan,” she said.

“He’s been my number one supporter from day one and had that belief in me before I had it in myself. This award has given me another level of confidence and motivation and I am now even more determined to bring a few other projects to life.”
