Rudgyard Beach - Your Private Waterfront Haven

Rudgyard Beach is a little piece of heaven on the Wilson inlet, just 7km from Denmark that can only be accessed via this private 10.8 acre (approx.) property or by boat. The boundary peg is where the beach starts - after a stroll on 'your' 300 metres of private beach, enjoy a beer or glass of wine from the deck, watch the sunset across the water and let the soothing sound of the inlet lapping at the shore envelope you.

This private estate offers a thoughtfully designed residence of 2 bedrooms (both with ensuites) plus a large home office and stunning living areas. In addition, is the original 3 bedroom cottage plus a large shed, workshop and studio with carport. With heaps of water, plenty of space, chooks, vegies and fish straight out the front, you may never want to leave!

The main residence gives you an immediate sense you have the 'outside in'. There are stunning views from the gourmet kitchen, living area, main bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom has its own outdoor deck so it feels like an indoor/outdoor shower. There are unbroken views of the inlet and surrounding native bush.

The feature central fireplace warms the house in a matter of minutes and the big outdoor deck is tailor-made for bringing friends and family together. Much thought has gone into the design of this main living area with soaring ceilings and extensive double glazing providing plenty of light, acoustic wall panels ensuring a sense of quiet, and timber and slate are natural choices for flooring.

A well-located kitchen is beautifully designed to ensure conversations keep flowing whilst cooking and like most of the home, benefits from stunning views of the inlet. Featuring quality Miele appliances, Bora induction cooktop with integrated extraction fan to sub-floor, Jarrah and concrete benchtops and German cabinetry.

Bedrooms are at opposite ends of the home ensuring privacy if two couples are in residence, and a dedicated home office (excellent internet) is perfect for working remotely - let's face it, you won't want to leave home to work from the office.

Sitting 50m away from the main residence is a well-appointed 3 bedroom cottage and sleep out that comfortably sleeps eight. This gives the new buyer options from introducing a caretaker, to ample space for extended family or an the easy-to-run Air BnB type option. Adjoining all this is a significant shed including a 120m2 section plus a 50m2 workshop - there are limitless options for shed hobbies here.

It wouldn't be a move to Denmark without a vegie patch, chook yard and a comprehensive orchard. There's plenty to do, lots of space, and offers the perfect holiday home to extended family taking advantage of the cottage. Your kids and grandkids will love the 500m trip in the dingy to catch pink snapper or even steam up the Denmark River to town for the morning paper and coffee.

Denmark overview

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.

Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
