Boulder is a suburb in the Western Australian Goldfields 595 kilometres (370 mi) east of Perth and bordering onto the town of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields region. Prior to 1989 Boulder was a town, but it was merged with Kalgoorlie to form the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Boulder is described as a vibrant and exciting city with country feels, with historical buildings scattered throughout both Boulder and Kalgoorlie. Located a short drive to the facilities in Kalgoorlie, Boulder has its own sports arena, train station, local IGA store, numerous parks and a primary school.
