What we love
The coastal convenience! The direct and secure gated access to North Beach Shopping Centre next door, as well as living no more than three driveways away from Tom’s Surf Break at beautiful North Beach. This stylishly-renovated 2 bedroom 1 bathroom end villa in a quiet, established and tightly-held complex is perfectly positioned to complement your healthy coastal lifestyle, that’s for sure. The cooling sea breezes will provide the tonic in the heat of summer, with the hard work already been done for you, here.

Step inside through a large front lounge room that has a new reverse-cycle air-conditioning system for all-seasons’ comfort and leads through to the light, bright and open-plan dining and kitchen area. Your own private and paved rear courtyard off the laundry allows you to entertain in complete tranquillity and has a lovely shade-sail area next to the garage too, just in case that little bit of extra space is required. Tom’s Italian restaurant, a bakery, café, North Beach Pharmacy, a gym, butcher and supermarket – it’s all right here and only metres from your doorstep. And it’s almost too good to be true!

What to know
The impressively-revamped kitchen doubles as the central hub with its sparkling stone bench tops, stainless-steel Baumatic range hood, an electric oven of the same brand and an Omega electric hotplate for good measure. Both bedrooms – including the larger master – are carpeted and have ceiling fans, whilst a fully-tiled and modernised bathroom comes complete with a walk-in shower, vanity and skylight. There is a double linen/broom cupboard in the laundry, too.

Extras within this solid brick-and-tile unit include a separate toilet, wooden floors, gorgeous white plantation window shutters, security doors and screens, an internal electric hot-water system and a single lock-up garage with a roller door and courtyard access. The reticulated complex lawns and gardens are nice and lush. A convenient ground-floor position ensures easy living for all involved. Everything else is nearby too, including pristine Star Swamp bushland, North Beach Primary school is just a short walk to the end of the street, the vibrant Flora Terrace food and coffee strip, Yelo Cafe, Trigg Beach, new-look Scarborough, Hillarys Boat Harbour, golf courses, public transport and even the exciting Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment. This truly is a dream location second to none, hear the waves and smell the surf as soon as you step foot outside!

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
