Prime Escarpment living for large families with Views to Die for!
Perched boldly and proud with a strikingly attractive facade and benefiting from a superb elevation on the high side of Basildon Road, this property feels right at home amongst its peers in this fantastic blue ribbon escarpment locale within the increasingly popular Hills suburb of Lesmurdie.
The block gifts spectacular panoramic city views and provides the ideal platform for accommodating the generous circa 1975 quality and robust brick and tile home which has been expanded and renovated since its original inception, resulting in a two-storey family friendly home boasting a staggering six bedrooms, three bathrooms plus multiple living areas, making it the ideal fit for large or growing families.
The lower- level floorplan consists of a large open plan and split-level lounge and dining space, kitchen/dining area, laundry, plus two double bedrooms with supporting bathroom. The upper level hosts an additional family/games room, three double bedrooms with supporting bathroom plus the master suite, complete with walk in robe, ensuite, stunning vistas and an adjoining sitting room which could easily accommodate those requiring a home office.
The large sloping and semi terraced 2003m2 block is not only beautifully manicured but provides practical, user friendly space combining two good sized lawns - great areas for the kids to play, fringed with landscaped gardens and some serious retaining. Outdoor entertainers are spoilt for choice. From the large rear gabled patio to the paved areas poolside, which take full advantage of the stunning views and offers the perfect venue when hosting family and friends for evening barbeques and lazing around the pool on those hot summer days. The two-car garage has remote roller doors and an additional parking bay is available for those needing to store a small boat, trailer or caravan.
The location could not get much better for those looking for convenience in tandem with escarpment Hills living. Many of Lesmurdie's popular destinations are within close proximity, including Lesmurdie Falls, walking and mountain biking trails for the outdoor enthusiasts, education facilities including Mazenod and St Brigid's college, Lesmurdie Primary and High schools, Sanderson Road shopping Village and the Ray Owen Sporting complex, all the while only being approx. 30 minutes from the Perth CBD and approx. 15 minutes from the Perth airport.

Like Kalamunda, the development of the "Lesmurdie" area is closely tied to the exploitation of the Jarrah forest in the region by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company Ltd. In 1897, Mr Archibald Sanderson, a Perth journalist commenced the acquisition of a number of these properties, with a view to building up a "rural retreat" and he named his property "Lesmurdie". Lesmurdie Cottage was a shooting-box in Banffshire, Scotland, near Dufftown and was let to Mr Sanderson's father for shooting. It was in memory of this cottage that Sanderson applied the name to his property.
The suburb has two shopping centres in the area including Lesmurdie Village on Sanderson Road and the Lesmurdie Road Shopping Centre on the corner of Rooth Rd and Lesmurdie Rd. There are three primary schools including Lesmurdie Primary School, Falls Road Primary School and St Brigid's, and also three high schools including Lesmurdie Senior High School, Mazenod College for boys and St Brigid's College for girls.
