There is something deeply comforting about this home. Perhaps it is the peaceful setting, the sense of privacy, or the way it invites people to slow down and simply enjoy life. Whatever it is, this is more than just a property - it is a place where laughter lingers, where holidays become treasured traditions, and where family and friends gather with ease after long sun-soaked days by the sea.
Originally built in 1995, this charming hardy plank and iron roof cottage began life as a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom home and has since been thoughtfully transformed into a spacious and flexible 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom retreat. Enjoyed over the years as a holiday escape and rental, the home offers a relaxed coastal feel, easy comfort and plenty of charm.
Inside, the home offers the perfect blend of comfort and coastal charm. The bedrooms are roomy and inviting, the living spaces feel cosy yet generous, and the kitchen is practical and well-equipped for everyday living or holiday stays. There is also a versatile additional area that can be used for activities, extra sleeping space, or simply as another place to unwind when the house is full of guests.
One of the true highlights is the enclosed entertaining area - a joyful extension of the home that has clearly been created for togetherness. Complete with BBQ facilities, kitchenette, bar space, ceiling fans and room to gather, it is the sort of space where stories are shared, meals roll on for hours, and memories are made with the people you love most. Protected from the wind and sun, yet still connected to the outdoors, it is perfect for year-round enjoyment.
Outside, the large block offers plenty of room to breathe. There are green lawns, bore reticulation, space for children to play, and a large powered shed for the boat, fishing gear, camping equipment and everything else that comes with embracing the Lancelin lifestyle. Set at the end of the cul-de-sac, the property enjoys a peaceful position while still being just a short stroll to the beach, shops, cafés, tavern, playground and town amenities.
And then there is the lifestyle. Lancelin is one of WA's most loved coastal towns - a place of white sandy beaches, ocean air, laid-back charm and unforgettable family holidays. It is easy to see why homes like this hold such appeal.
Adding even more value, the property is currently operating as a popular holiday rental/Airbnb, where it has been well received by guests and enjoyed strong appeal as a coastal getaway. This gives buyers the flexibility to continue enjoying it as an income-producing holiday home, while also keeping it as their own private escape by the sea.

Lancelin is a coastal town located on the west coast 127 kilometres north northwest of Perth. It derives its name from the nearby Lancelin Island which was named by the French expedition under the command of Captain Baudin in 1801. The name honours P F Lancelin, scientific writer, author of the World Map of Sciences and works on the planetary system and analyses of science.
Interest in the Lancelin Island area in the late 1940s for camping and as a port for the lobster fishery resulted in a townsite being declared in 1950. Lancelin was not considered a suitable name, and "Wangaree", an Aboriginal word for fish was chosen when the townsite was gazetted. Although the official name was Wangaree, local usage was Lancelin, and in 1953 the Gingin Road Board requested the townsite be renamed Lancelin. The name change was approved in 1953 and gazetted the following year.
