VISTAS & VOGUE
What once would have been a 1970's Executive Escarpment Classic home has now been seriously levelled up over more recent years to be reborn into a swanky and contemporary entertainers dream. Although the residence takes on a more sophisticated and vogue feel it still has cleverly retained some of the gorgeous architectural appeal of the 1970's with its extensive use of stone and timeless striking skillion angles.
Well suited to families and entertainers and those who appreciate the dress circles of Lesmurdie, this is a lifetime opportunity to capitalise on a premiere hill side position with all the hard work done and heavy investment complete. Its proud and commanding elevation on the high side of Basildon Road provides the most advantageous and uninterrupted views of the city and beyond.
The home's very generous sized floorplan cascades over two levels, the first level is greeted by a large pivot glass door leading you into the entrance and to the staircase. Adjacent to the entrance is an exciting option for potential independent living downstairs with a huge open living area ideal for a games room or potential self contained granny flat. The fourth bedroom, study and cellar is also situated downstairs.
Heading upstairs brings you to the main event and most stunning views to be admired from a vast and open plan living design incorporating a sleek stone kitchen with custom built-in cabinetry, spacious dining area that spills out to the front porch and a robust sized lounge room with stone cladded feature fireplace catering for the larger family. The bedroom arrangement upstairs consists of a huge Master bedroom and luxe style ensuite with floor to ceiling tiling. The two remaining bedrooms share a contemporary bathroom with dual vanity, and an additional powder room is conveniently located at the top of the stair case ideal for guests.
Outside this property is all about entertaining from just about every angle, the front of the property features a monster sized private below ground pool enveloped by glass balustrading and green hedges ready for those larger than life summer pool parties. And in keeping with the extra large outdoor entertaining theme is a gigantic recently built skillion alfresco with no expense spared equipped with built-in stone kitchen and BBQ, bench seat, exposed aggregate flooring and thick stone masonry feature pillars that dovetail perfectly with the original era of the home. Add to this terraced gardens, sprawling lawn areas, double garage with large storeroom and a shed and you have the Utopian Escarpment Lifestyle.

Like Kalamunda, the development of the "Lesmurdie" area is closely tied to the exploitation of the Jarrah forest in the region by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company Ltd. In 1897, Mr Archibald Sanderson, a Perth journalist commenced the acquisition of a number of these properties, with a view to building up a "rural retreat" and he named his property "Lesmurdie". Lesmurdie Cottage was a shooting-box in Banffshire, Scotland, near Dufftown and was let to Mr Sanderson's father for shooting. It was in memory of this cottage that Sanderson applied the name to his property.
The suburb has two shopping centres in the area including Lesmurdie Village on Sanderson Road and the Lesmurdie Road Shopping Centre on the corner of Rooth Rd and Lesmurdie Rd. There are three primary schools including Lesmurdie Primary School, Falls Road Primary School and St Brigid's, and also three high schools including Lesmurdie Senior High School, Mazenod College for boys and St Brigid's College for girls.
