A VISION SPLENDID

This is your ultimate rural lifestyle property on the South Coast, with sweeping ocean views out to William Bay, Point Hillier and Stanley Island. Surrounded by rolling green pastures, Karri Forests and the patchwork quilt of the undulating hinterland, the view is panoramic and breathtaking.

Built with a clear vision and a guiding passion to create something unique and special, the home was designed by leading architect Michael Lyons, and built by a local master builder in 2012, with no expense spared in the pursuit of bringing their combined vision to life.

The result is striking. A single-level, solar passive, energy-efficient, sustainable, spacious light-filled home with a high raked ceiling that maximises the benefits of its scenically stunning location. Perched high on the shoulders of the Bennett Range, on the Mount Shadforth - McLeod - Scotsdale scenic route that encompasses some of the finest farms, vineyards, art galleries and tourist attractions the region is famous for, with one of Australia's finest beaches in the renown Greens Pool of William Bay, right on your doorstep, it's a winning combination with massive appeal.

The total accommodation across the main house and adjoining pavilion is a generous 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plus powder room, with open plan living, dining and kitchen, multiple terraces and courtyards, an indoor heated pool and an oversized double garage, with a total area of 724sqm.

The main residence offers three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a powder room. The master suite is located on the western end of the home. It is large with a walk-in robe, ensuite bathroom with twin vanities, shower, separate bath and separate W.C. There is a small adjoining study. The main living, dining, and kitchen area is the centrepiece of the residence, with a fireplace incorporated into the feature stone wall. This complements the hydronic underfloor heating and cooling. On the eastern side, we have two more large bedrooms, a bathroom, powder room, laundry, and garage.

Adjacent to and in the same alignment as the house, is the pool pavilion. This is home to the indoor heated 9m saltwater pool and two more bedrooms with a full bathroom. One of these rooms is currently used as a gym and the other as a studio.

In addition to all of this, there is a large General Purpose farm shed, plus water tanks and five dams.

The farm is 46.94 Hectares, or 116 acres. It is approximately 80% pasture and 20% Karri bushland. The area around the house is gently sloping and relatively level. The property then falls toward valleys on the southern side, with an abundance of spring-fed water, beautiful stands of tall timber, and is all fully fenced and in immaculate condition. The home is on the mains power grid but has its own solar panels and auto switch-over generator. Fixed wireless NBN ensures you remain connected to the rest of the world as much (or as little) as you like.

A magnificent property in every regard, I invite you to contact us today for full details and to organise your viewing.

Denmark overview

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.

Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
