There's something pretty special about a home that has been part of Busselton for generations and 60 Harris Road is full of the character, quirks and charm. But sitting on a substantial 1,124m2 block in the heart of Busselton, it's the future potential that makes this one even more exciting. Keep the character, explore the subdivision possibilities or clear the way for something completely new the choice is yours.
Step inside and the home immediately tells its story. At the front you'll find the living, dining and kitchen, with high ceilings and beautiful period details adding plenty of personality. The living room is a standout, centred around a gorgeous limestone fireplace that feels perfectly at home in a property of this era adding warmth and comfort to the space.
There are three bedrooms, including an elevated master bedroom with a small step up adding yet another little piece of individuality to the home. The large main bathroom offers a shower, bath, vanity and toilet, while the generously sized laundry includes the convenience of a second separate toilet.
To the rear, a second living area provides some welcome extra space and includes R/C A/C, opening directly onto a covered patio area. Outside is where the layout gets interesting. Positioned towards the rear of its substantial 1,124m2 block, the home leaves an impressive amount of open space to the front, surrounded by established, manicured gardens and lawn, with bore and reticulation helping to keep everything looking the part.
There's also an outdoor fireplace and entertaining area amongst the front gardens, creating a lovely spot to sit back and enjoy the established surrounds, while a large shed provides plenty of room for tools, storage and all the extras.
And then there's the potential.
With the home positioned towards the rear of the block and a substantial amount of land sitting in front, there's plenty here to get buyers thinking about what could come next.
Keep the character home and give it a new lease on life, explore the potential to subdivide while retaining the existing residence or knock it down altogether and start with a completely blank canvas (subject to City of Busselton approvals).
Location certainly isn't the compromise here either. You're approximately 800m from the Busselton town centre, 900m from the beach and 1.2km from the iconic Busselton Jetty, putting some of Busselton's best attractions within easy reach.
A little bit of old Busselton, a whole lot of land and plenty of possibilities for what comes next.

Busselton is a city located 220 kilometres south-west of Perth and was one of the earliest settlements in Western Australia. The Busselton area was named in honour, an early and notable family of pioneers who were the first settlers in the area in 1832, however the name officially used in June 1835. It is believed that the Bussells were not consulted about the name and preferred the name Capel after a relative in England, Capel Carter, but the name Busselton was retained.Â
The main economic focus in Busselton has gradually shifted from agriculture to tourism which has grown the district significantly over the years. Not only is Busselton blessed with a beautiful waterfront including calm, white-sand beaches, superb whale watching and a lively foreshore with beachside cycle paths, it also has a buzzing cultural hub with a great food and wine scene.Â
Busselton is also home to the Busselton Jetty which stretches 1,841 metres out to sea and is the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. At the end of the jetty there is a world class ‘Underwater Observatory’ which descends eight metres to the ocean floor via a spiral staircase to display an awe inspiring forest of vividly coloured tropical and sub-tropical corals, sponges, fish and invertebrates.Â
