'BLOW FISH BUNGALOW' - A TIMELESS BEACH HAVEN

From the moment you step onto the breezy front deck, with its classic wicker seating and views across the spacious front lawn, you feel the heartbeat of old-school coastal holidays. The gentle hush of the ocean, the whisper of the breeze, the soft glow of afternoon sun - this is the Lancelin many grew up loving.

Step inside and the warmth of the jarrah floors welcomes you instantly. The main living area opens generously before you - relaxed, inviting, and full of natural light. A built-in fireplace sits neatly along the wall, perfect for warm, cosy winter nights after a day exploring the coastline. This is a space made for gathering: lounging, dining, sharing stories, playing games, or simply enjoying the sea breeze drifting through.

Towards the back of the home lies the coastal-country kitchen, functional and refreshingly relaxed. Its windows overlook the backyard, allowing you to keep an eye on the children playing or take in the afternoon light. From breakfast to seafood dinners, it's a kitchen built for easy coastal living.

The bedrooms and extra sleeping zones flow gently from the main living area. The main bedroom is bright and serene, while the sunroom corridor hosts additional rooms ideal for guests, children, or bunk-beds - the perfect set-up for a beach house where family and friends come together. Each room carries that unmistakable, comfortable beach-shack charm.
Two fresh bathrooms - both with showers - mean sandy feet and post-beach clean-ups are never an issue. With two toilets, the home runs smoothly even when full of guests.

The back patio deck is made for long summer evenings and relaxed barbecues. Beyond it, the fully fenced backyard offers space for kids, pets, boats and all the coastal toys, with easy side access leading straight through to the sheds. At the rear stands the brand new impressive 9x9m shed - spacious and fitted with a 3.8m-high roller door for boats or caravans. An additional 8x5m enclosed shed provides even more storage or workspace.

This is the kind of beach house that makes life feel simple again - where you instantly unwind, breathe deeper, and settle into the ease of coastal living.

Lancelin overview

Lancelin is a coastal town located on the west coast 127 kilometres north northwest of Perth. It derives its name from the nearby Lancelin Island which was named by the French expedition under the command of Captain Baudin in 1801. The name honours P F Lancelin, scientific writer, author of the World Map of Sciences and works on the planetary system and analyses of science.

Interest in the Lancelin Island area in the late 1940s for camping and as a port for the lobster fishery resulted in a townsite being declared in 1950. Lancelin was not considered a suitable name, and "Wangaree", an Aboriginal word for fish was chosen when the townsite was gazetted. Although the official name was Wangaree, local usage was Lancelin, and in 1953 the Gingin Road Board requested the townsite be renamed Lancelin. The name change was approved in 1953 and gazetted the following year.
