Enjoying one of the most convenient locations in Denmark, this well built double brick home was built in 1990, and has recently been updated with new paint, lighting and flooring. The four bedroom home boasts a great view down towards the Denmark River and rests on a large 1152sqm dual zoned block. With both residential and commercial zoning the property has front and rear access, which provides scope for development potential.
As well as having four bedrooms, the home itself has an en-suite and second bathroom as well as an open plan kitchen, dining & lounge area, and a spacious double garage - with new roller doors soon to be installed. Ducted air conditioning as well a wood heater keep the home comfortable year round. The outlook from the verandah looking over the fully fenced back yard and down towards the parkland and river below is just stunning and offers a great area to enjoy, while all of the conveniences that Denmark has to offer are just a short walk away through the back gate. The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.
Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
