Boya, What A Beauty!

END DATE SALE All offers presented by 2pm Wednesday 22nd June (unless sold prior)

This split level marvel is a welcoming haven set in beautiful Boya, offering a treetop outlook that can't be beaten. Built in the 1970s, all the charm and character you'd expect is right here ready to be enjoyed. And it's had facelifts over the years too, with the made-over galley kitchen ready to whip up a storm when you've got guests over. And what better spot to host them than the big decked entertaining area? Nestled amongst the trees, there's room aplenty for everyone to sit and enjoy a meal while rain taps on the tin roof above.

When the chill descends, move indoors and settle in around the cosy slow combustion fire instead. Raked ceilings with timber beams soar overhead, Jarrah floorboards add a timeless charm, and big windows and French doors bring the best of the outside in. The bathroom is pretty special, too, thanks to the timber trimmed walls and ceiling. Rounded out with a corner bath, it's very Nordic and restful. All 3 bedrooms include built-in robes and the storage continued under the house with a cellar- perfect for a wine collection!

Features Include:

- 1970s built brick & tile home
- Split level open plan design
- 3 bedrooms all with built in robes
- 1 bathroom with timber features
- High raked ceilings with exposed beams
- Galley kitchen featuring a bosch dishwasher

- Larger timber decked patio entertaining area
- Single carport
- Undercroft cellar
- Gazebo & chook pen
- Walk to National Park & Heritage Trail Reserve
- 1,472sqm block (1/3 of an acre)

Mosey around this 1472sqm block and take in the rocky outcrops and boulders, established trees, and the nifty gazebo. Anyone with an affinity for the outdoors will adore it and appreciate the visiting wildlife. Keep walking, head down the driveway, and turn the corner; here you'll find Mountain Quarry, a fantastic hiking destination. If you prefer mountain biking, you're in luck here too with multiple destinations close by including the Goat Farm Mountain Bike Park. Whatever your hobbies, you'll feel at home here in this Boya beauty.

Boya overview

To supply the stone required to build the groynes at Fremantle Harbour, a Government quarry was established in the hills a little south-west of Darlington. A spur line was run into the quarry from the existing railway and, by July 1901, dozens of iron and hessian huts housing approximately 150 workmen were clustered near the site. In August of 1901, construction began on a railway siding for the use of this settlement and the first name proposed was "Yan-Yeen". This was rejected because of a duplication in Victoria and the Aboriginal word "Boya", appropriately meaning rock/stone, was chosen instead. It was later found that the correct Aboriginal name for the area was "Nyeedoup" but Boya remains appropriate as the Aboriginal sub-tribe who once inhabited the hills were known as "Boya-Ngoora".
