In a well regarded pocket of this historic suburb you will find this lovely hills home. Situated on a corner block where there is easy access via the asphalt driveway to the home and to the workshop off Ridgeway Place. Entry to the home is via the extensive shady front verandah and front door that has a full length, gorgeous stained glass window. To the right of the entrance is the formal lounge and dining and to the left is the open plan living, kitchen, dining. The kitchen has solid jarrah cupboards, a large pantry and overlooks the outdoor alfresco area making for easy flow of outdoor entertaining.

The formal lounge and dining are great spaces to use in a modern way. Curl up in front of the open fire on a cold winters day and enjoy a family movie together, games night or simply read a book. Through these rooms you will find the main bedroom which is large, restful and complete with ensuite and a large walk-in-robe. It also, has lovely windows looking out to the garden beyond.

Back through the open plan kitchen and living you will find the two other bedrooms both with large built-in-robes, the family bathroom, laundry and the study which could easily be a fourth bedroom if needed.

The brick work and pine are a feature of these types of hills homes but if you would prefer the brick is easily gyprocked and the pine could easily be painted white to give it the Hamptons, shiplap, VJ board look.

A stand out feature of this property is the shed, it is large and high. It is powered and is just waiting for another owner to enjoy their own projects and make it their man-cave.

Close to the best of hills life with the Heritage Trail and Bibbulmum Track nearby for bike riding and hiking, great schools, coffee shops, pubs, shops, sporting activities, artistic pursuits and the ability to have nature on your door step is really something special. Make your move to the hills a reality and enjoy all that is on offer.

Mahogany Creek overview

This suburb takes its name from Mahogany Creek, a picturesque tributary of Jane Brook which flows through the area. The creek was known by this name as early as 1830, and takes its name from the towering forest through which it flowed (mahogany was the early colonial name for Jarrah). This place is well known from "The Old Mahogany Inn" located here, an early colonial wayside inn, formerly known as the "Prince of Wales" Inn. The area was developed as orchard land in the 1890's, and a railway stopping place was established here in 1891.
