Take a step back in time with this virtually original 1970's two-bedroom, ground-floor, villa-sized apartment nestled amongst leafy gardens close to the river's edge.
If you love a home with a little personality, 49/12 Wall Street, Maylands is ready to take you on a time jump - bold wallpaper, statement carpet and all.
Sitting within the riverside Tranby on Swan complex, this home is packed with original retro charm and presents an exciting opportunity to embrace the nostalgia, add your own modern spin, or completely reinvent the space. The complex itself enjoys an enviable position on the banks of the Swan River, with parklands and riverside paths close by.
And there's plenty to work with. The surprisingly spacious 78sqm internal layout offers a large open living and dining zone, with oversized windows drawing in natural light and leafy green outlooks. The separate kitchen keeps things practical with plenty of cupboard space and its own window looking out to the trees.
Both bedrooms are a great size, with a walk-in robe to the main and built-in robe to the second. There's also a bathroom/laundry combination, separate WC and linen storage to keep everyday life easy.
Slide open the doors from the living area and you've got an undercover outdoor area overlooking the greenery - a peaceful little spot for your morning coffee or afternoon wind-down.
Throw in an allocated car bay and a location close to the river, parklands, cafés, shops, public transport and the CBD, and you've got a seriously fun blank canvas in one of Maylands' favourite riverside pockets.

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
