Stunning Sunsets and Sea Breezes

What we love
Is the remote-controlled gated security that this impressive 3 bedroom 2 bathroom two-storey townhouse residence offers, privately positioned in a fabulous complex of just five properties where breathtaking ocean views meet a prime position directly opposite North Beach Shopping Centre – and just footsteps away from the surf and sand. Even restaurants, a cafe and a gym are metres from your front doorstep, with the popular Hamersley and Mettams Pool swimming holes, North Beach Primary School, Our Lady of Grace Primary School, sprawling Charles Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields and the majestic “Class A” Star Swamp Bushland Reserve also within easy walking distance, merely adding to the appeal of this enviable low-maintenance “lock-up-and-leave” coastal lifestyle. Don’t forget about just how close the vibrant Flora Terrace café and restaurant strip is too, with more eateries and coffee spots nestled between Scarborough and Hillarys Boat Harbour.

A very close proximity to the likes of Hamersley Public Golf Course, Lake Karrinyup Country Club, St Mary’s Anglican Girls’ School, public transport, the freeway and the new-look Karrinyup Shopping Centre should not be underestimated, either. As for the property itself, the lower-level plays host to two large bedrooms, a sleek and stylish main bathroom with a spa bath, a shower, a granite vanity and heat lamps, a cleverly-concealed European-style laundry with tiled splashbacks, stacked washer and dryer appliances and over-head and under-bench storage behind folding doors and a tranquil rear courtyard setting with a patio and easy-care gardens. Upstairs, a huge open-plan living and kitchen area features a ceiling fan, an electric window security roller shutter (living space) for protection from the elements, a gas log fireplace and an amazing sea vista, whilst the tiled adjacent dining room has a timber-lined ceiling with a fan, as well as bi-fold windows for a terrific indoor-outdoor feel and aspect when opened to allow those cooling coastal breezes to filter in. Also on the top floor is a sublime master-bedroom suite with a separate powder room.

What to know
The quality modern kitchen itself is well-equipped with sparkling stone bench tops, glass splashbacks, water filter, a breakfast bar for casual meals and excellent Blanco range-hood, five-burner gas-cooktop, oven and stainless-steel dishwasher appliances. The powder room has a granite vanity and is separate from the open-plan area, also accessible from a huge king-size master retreat with carpet, a ceiling fan, a spacious fitted walk-in wardrobe and a large fully-tiled ensuite bathroom – huge walk-in rain shower, heated towel rack and twin “his and hers” granite vanities. Back downstairs, a spacious second bedroom has a ceiling fan, built-in robes, split-system air-conditioning, a hidden built-in study nook with a desk and storage behind folding doors and direct courtyard access. The enormous third bedroom also flows out to the courtyard and features carpet, a ceiling fan, mirrored built-in robes and split-system air-conditioning.

Extras include under-stair storage, a double lower-level linen press, a large remote-controlled double lock-up garage with a storage area and internal shopper’s entry, a tiled entry foyer, a feature entry/security door, a lined portico entrance, gleaming wooden floorboards, a new ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning system, an intercom system to the automatic front complex gate, feature ceiling cornices and skirting boards, profile doors throughout, feature down lighting, a ducted-vacuum system, garden reticulation, a Rinnai instantaneous gas hot-water system, rear security doors, manicured driveway gardens and drop-down-ladder access up to a huge loft/storage attic. The list goes on and on. What a stunning setting this is.

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
