A beautiful home set in a beautiful location.

When describing this property, 'charming' doesn't quite capture it. Infused with a beautiful blend of nature, history, and classic style, there's a warm and welcoming feeling here that will envelop you even before you lay eyes upon the sweet weatherboard exterior of this Hills delight. Winding pathways and flower-filled gardens add a touch of cottage appeal over the 1 acre of land, while the gum trees beyond make for a powerful yet serene backdrop. Enjoy it all from wherever you are on the property; morning cuppas on the verandah will always be accompanied by birdsong, outlooks from the living areas are vibrant even on rainy days, and strolls around the yard provide the perfect opportunity to take a break from busy life and reconnect with nature.

Winter approaches, and luckily for you this home has an open fire in the lounge room that you'll surely spend many blissful hours sitting by. Cosy up with your favourite beverage or a bowl of soup and consider adding board games or a pile of books into the mix for added joy. The big kitchen and informal dining are also fabulous spots to spend time in, preferably with loved ones and much sharing of food and laughter. On not-so-chilly days step out to the balcony and take in the lush green surrounds of your property, and when the sun emerges again and you're ready to embrace warmer weather you'll be poolside in no time. That sparkling blue oasis beckons - and there's still time to use it yet before the frosty weather in the Hills kicks in.

It's a little slice of paradise for holiday makers seeking a mini tree change so you'll never be short of bookings. And with a block size of over an acre you'll still have loads of privacy and space to yourself. In fact, with plentiful options for nature exploration nearby, including national parks and the heritage trail, your guests may be out and about quite often anyway. And so may you be too! Mahogany Creek overview

This suburb takes its name from Mahogany Creek, a picturesque tributary of Jane Brook which flows through the area. The creek was known by this name as early as 1830, and takes its name from the towering forest through which it flowed (mahogany was the early colonial name for Jarrah). This place is well known from "The Old Mahogany Inn" located here, an early colonial wayside inn, formerly known as the "Prince of Wales" Inn. The area was developed as orchard land in the 1890's, and a railway stopping place was established here in 1891.
