Create Your Cottage Dream

From the moment you arrive at this sweet cottage-style residence, there's a warmth that welcomes you-nestled in a sought-after part of town, just a stone's throw from a popular primary schools, children's activity parks, and green open spaces. With a classic verandah to greet you, this home instantly invites you to slow down and soak in its character.

Step inside and you're greeted by soaring ceilings that carry a sense of space and openness throughout the home. The oversized living area is the heart of the home-anchored by a striking, vintage built-in fireplace that now acts as a statement centrepiece, flanked by mantle shelving, while a reverse-cycle air conditioner and a toasty wood fire heater promise year-round comfort. The soft light streams in through sliding glass doors, guiding you naturally through to the dining and kitchen space.

The kitchen is a functional dream-long, spacious, and overflowing with bench and cupboard space. A clever nod to the home's heritage is seen where the old fireplace has been transformed into a stylish nook housing the gas oven and cooktop-adding a rustic charm to the practicality.

Each of the three bedrooms offers generous proportions and peaceful outlooks, ideal for families or those needing space to work or create. Neutral tones, ceiling fans, and plush flooring lay a versatile foundation to style and personalise as you wish.

The bathroom offers both a deep soak-in tub and separate shower, with vintage fittings that harken back to simpler times-while remaining ready for immediate use or your creative updates. Out the back, the laundry opens to a covered alfresco area-perfect for relaxed weekend BBQs or a shady spot to unwind as the kids run free in the enormous backyard.

And what a yard it is! With side access, low-maintenance gardens, and a *710sqm block, the rear of the property is a blank canvas just waiting for your imagination-whether it's a lush garden retreat, expansive deck, pool zone, or the ultimate workshop space.

This home blends vintage charm with genuine potential. Whether you're stepping into the market for the first time, looking for a solid investment, or dreaming of a home you can truly make your own-this is the one that speaks to opportunity and heart.

Collie overview

The townsite of Collie is located 202 kilometres south southeast of Perth and about 50 kilometres east of Bunbury. It is situated on the Collie River after which it is named. The river, which rises in the Darling Range and flows into Leschenault Estuary near Bunbury, is named after Dr Alexander Collie who was a Royal Navy surgeon that discovered the river in 1829.

Collie is a coal mining town with the coalfields developed in the late 1890s, and land set aside for a townsite. The name Collie was generally used from the beginning, and when lots were surveyed and the townsite gazetted in December 1897, it was named Collie.
