ENTICING ACREAGE WITH TWO HOMES

Overlooking the tranquil landscape and Torndirrup Peninsular, this Rural Small Lot Holdings property presents a fabulous lifestyle option, within easy reach of beaches, Albany and Denmark.
There are two character dwellings on the parkland cleared property, so you could live in one and potentially rent out the other, or establish a B&B venture, or house extended family.
There is also a bore, water tanks and a high-span 12mx8m shed plus a lean to, so growing your own produce, storing your gear and pursuing a hobby won't be an issue.
Used as a telegraph exchange back in its day, the main potential-packed 1947 home has classic and contemporary features including high ceilings, jarrah floors, spacious rooms and fireplaces, and solar panels and a solar h/w/s.
The sweeping entry hall, with storage, flows to an engaging lounge linked to a bedroom and a possible study or hobby room.
There are more spacious bedrooms off the hall including one with a semi- ensuite and a walk-in robe, with ceiling storage access.
Beyond the hall is a fabulous dining area, with ensuite access, and a massive storage galore kitchen, with a modern and early model stove.
Relax in the rear sunroom adjoining the combined wet areas and another study or storeroom.
The timber feature cottage is an absolute cutie, with its gangway between the bedrooms on the mezzanine level.
Downstairs is a surprisingly spacious living, dining and solid timber kitchen zone, with an r/c and tile fire, and wet area access.
Unwind on the verandahs and enjoy the setting.

Cuthbert overview

Cuthbert is a townsite on the western edge of Albany. It was originally established as a siding on the Great Southern Railway in the 1890s, and named "Eastwood". In 1909 the government decided to subdivide land here, and when a name for the townsite was sought Eastwood was unacceptable because it was already in use in three other Australian states. Alternative names of "Karajinup" and "Atwell" were considered before the name "Werillup", an Aboriginal word meaning "place of swamps" was chosen and gazetted as the name of the townsite in 1914. The Deputy Postmaster-General objected to Werillup, and the name "Cuthbert"was suggested as an alternative by the Secretary for Railways in 1915. The change of name was gazetted in September 1916, and the name is believed to honour an 1890s settler of the area.
