The details
This solid brick-and-tile abode boasts a charming façade with verdant lawn, a breeze-brick feature wall and a delightful entry deck, all preceding a spacious front living room with split-system air-conditioning, a ceiling fan and pleasant views to the garden.

It leads through to a comfortable open-plan kitchen, dining and laundry area with a stainless-steel range hood, a four-burner Chef electric cooktop, a Beko under-bench oven, a new white Asko dishwasher, a pantry and a double linen/broom cupboard with over-head and under-bench storage right beside it.

A sliding door shuts off the bedroom wing, where a huge master plays host to a remote-controlled ceiling fan – and heaps of room for sleep, study and storage.

The second bedroom also has a fan, as well as a tree-lined backyard vista to wake up to and savour.

In between, a light, bright, sleek and white bathroom has been cleverly revamped to include a walk-in ceiling-mounted rain shower, a separate bathtub, a toilet and powder vanity.

A large sliding door seamlessly extends the kitchen out to a huge rear entertaining deck with a manual “vergola” alfresco area, complete with café/shade blinds for protection from the elements.

It all overlooks a massive “blank canvas” of a sunken backyard with plenty of shade – and heaps of room for a future swimming pool and more.

Extras include timber-look hybrid flooring, white plantation window shutters, feature LED down lights, feature ceiling cornices, skirting boards, Foxtel connectivity, outdoor power points, security doors and screens, an electric hot-water system, a clothesline to the back deck, a double-sliding-door external storage area, an outdoor hot/cold water rain shower down the side, a corner garden shed in the yard, a side-access gate and driveway parking for three or four cars.

This is where style meets stillness – and the hidden sense of space you have been searching for has finally been found.

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
