Hidden Potential - A family Sanctuary in the Making

Didn't think you could afford the half acre family home in one of Lesmurdie's most sought after areas - Think again!

Hidden down a long driveway awaits a 'Hidden Family Sanctuary' which has been home to this one family since it was built in 1973. It is not often you come across homes where the original owners have resided there since day one especially for this long however you can understand why with a location such as this and a sprawling half acre block that feels like parkland with a garden that wraps itself around this custom built home designed to offer a well-proportioned living space, unique for its era.

The location couldn't be more perfect for families. Nestled in the epi-centre of a schooling precinct with Mazenod and St Brigid's College close by and within the catchment area of Lesmurdie Primary and Lesmurdie High School too, it is ideally located. Additionally, access to the city couldn't be easier with Welshpool Road only a two minute drive away.

The home itself is an honest built, double brick and tile home comprising of four bedrooms and two bathrooms and generous living space including a large country styled kitchen and casual dining area, very spacious lounge room and a formal dining room that could be multifunctional and used as an additional living zone.

External infrastructure includes a bonus studio / games room with adjoining double carport, office with its own access (which can double up to an extra bedroom or teenage retreat), separate powered workshop with easy side access and a large patio that extends from the kitchen / dining area making indoor / outdoor functions easy and fun. The space outside as mentioned earlier is parklike and is ready for a family who appreciate wide open spaces, established fruit trees, playgrounds, vegetable gardens and maybe even the odd chook or two.

Priced to get creative and capitalise, this is the opportunity your family has been searching for. Contact Ben Ciocca on 0411 113 117 to find out inspection times.

Lesmurdie overview

Like Kalamunda, the development of the "Lesmurdie" area is closely tied to the exploitation of the Jarrah forest in the region by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company Ltd. In 1897, Mr Archibald Sanderson, a Perth journalist commenced the acquisition of a number of these properties, with a view to building up a "rural retreat" and he named his property "Lesmurdie". Lesmurdie Cottage was a shooting-box in Banffshire, Scotland, near Dufftown and was let to Mr Sanderson's father for shooting. It was in memory of this cottage that Sanderson applied the name to his property.
