Space, Privacy and Low-Maintenance Living in a Quiet Pocket of Exmouth

Set on a generous 871sqm block in a quiet pocket of Exmouth, this well-presented four-bedroom, two-bathroom home offers space, flexibility and low-maintenance living, all with a peaceful outlook over native bushland to the west.

A single covered carport leads into a home built with a practical mix of fibre-cement (Hardie-style) plank and Colorbond cladding, framed by neat, easy-care gardens. Step inside and there's a separate lounge or TV room tucked behind French doors, the perfect retreat away from the main living area.

The master suite sits privately at the front of the home, capturing the western bushland views through its window, and features a large walk-in robe, ensuite with shower, toilet and vanity, ceiling fan and split system air conditioning.

Terracotta tiles flow through the open-plan living and dining area, which connects to a neat, well-kept kitchen with electric stove top and oven, a large pantry, double fridge cavity, and a window over the sink looking out to the backyard. A large split system keeps this central living space comfortable year-round.

Glass sliding doors open from the living area onto a covered veranda with concrete flooring and a paved surround, an easy spot to unwind overlooking the low-maintenance backyard, a 7.8m x 4.6m shed with roller door (2.3m high x 2.7m wide clearance), and clothesline area. The yard is fenced on three sides (rear and side), with a side gate completing full enclosure.

Down the hallway, three further bedrooms each include built-in robes, ceiling fans and air conditioning (wall unit or split system), serviced by a second bathroom with shower, separate bath and vanity, plus a separate laundry, toilet and linen press.

Ceiling fans, downlights and air conditioning are found throughout every room of the home.

Exmouth overview

Exmouth is a townsite on the north west coast, 1260 kilometres north of Perth. It was gazetted a townsite in 1963, and was founded as a support town to the Harold E. Holt Communications Station run by the U.S. Navy.

Exmouth is situated on the western side of Exmouth Gulf from which it takes its name. The feature was named by Commander Phillip Parker King RN of HMS "Mermaid" during hydrographic surveys in the area in 1818. The name honours the Viscount Exmouth, Edward Pellew. Edward Pellew was born in Dover, England in 1757 and died in 1833. He had a very distinguished career in the navy, and was regarded as British naval hero. Pellew entered the Royal Navy at 13 years of age, was appointed Lieutenant in 1778 and received his commision as post Captain in 1780. In 1793 he received a knighthood for his heroic conduct in capturing the "Cleopatra", a French frigate. Three years later he was created a Baronet for his heroic services in saving the troops and crew of the British transport "Dutton". In 1804, he was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral. In 1814, having risen to the rank of Admiral of the Blue, he was elevated to the peerage as Baron Exmouth of Canonteign, County Devon; and, finally, was advanced to a Viscountcy in 1816 for his gallantry in bombarding and totally destroying the fleet and arsenal of Algiers in that year.
