VALLEY VIEWS AND A STUNNING HOME

This is an absolutely extraordinary home. Set in one of the most beautiful positions, with one of the most magnificent outlooks. This is something that has to be experienced to be believed. And frankly, even after you've been here, you still might not believe that it exists. It feels like living on a holiday when you're here, and everything about this warm and inviting home is just so welcoming. Mount Richon is one of the most beautiful places to live around the hills. With the stunning green backdrop of the view across the valley to Settlers Common, every glance out the window is impacted by the lush green surrounds of this beautiful location.

LIVING HERE
Everyday life in this home centres around the main living area and the kitchen, with the soaring high raked ceilings that create a most extraordinary atmosphere. There is something beautiful about even the most mundane moments of life lived here. It's a home where people can come together but everyone has space to themselves when they want it. It all seems to centre around the kitchen. It's a beautiful space and so well designed, with stone benchtops, solid timber cabinetry, gas cooking, and an electric oven. It's perfectly designed to cater to the needs of family life.

Let's face it, broadly speaking, we live in a dinner on the couch kind of era, but there's something about this design that draws you to the table. The dining table, as it is currently positioned, just seems to be a focal point of how life is lived. The backdrop to your meals is the sun rising over the hill in the morning, or the glow of the hills as they light up during golden hour in the evening. In the main living area, the beautiful fireplace is a gorgeous feature and an essential element to life in this home. It's a warm and inviting home but the fire roaring away on a cold winter day really underscores that hills holiday kind of vibe.

There are two living areas-three if you include the alfresco. I include the alfresco because whilst it's outdoor living, there's real integration between indoor and outdoor living. It feels like it's part of everyday living, because everything opens out to that. These additional living spaces have to be incorporated into conversations about the bedrooms, as you can see on the floor plan. Leading into the main bedroom is a lovely living area that can be closed off from the rest of the living area. It could be a perfect home study or a parents' retreat, depending on your needs. You can see how it works and the real versatility on offer here.

The main bedroom is quite stunning. Get out of bed and straight away you're looking across the valley to that magnificent bushland. You're at treetop level and you do feel at one with nature up here. The ensuite bathroom is a good size. It features a toilet, shower, and bath. The ferns from the garden below brush up against your window, and there's no question that this is how life should be lived. The walk-in wardrobe is a good size, and there are brand new carpets in this bedroom. The carpets are super high quality, super soft and honestly, if you rolled out of bed and landed on the floor, you'd still think you were on the mattress. On the same living room level, there is a room that is currently used as a study. However, it is a fourth bedroom if that's how you need it to be used. That parents' retreat could also be a nursery, depending on the stage of life you find yourself in. You can work all this out via the floor plan or by watching the ridiculously long video tour.

Going up to the next level, we have two additional bedrooms and a good-size activity room which is so versatile, it could fit a pool table. If it's for little kids, there's loads of room for toys. If it's for adults, there's loads of room for books. If it's for teenagers, there's loads of room for computer desks and homework and all that kind of stuff. Whatever you need, it's a versatile space that can be closed off from the main living room if you need it to be.

The secondary bedrooms are on this upper level, both of a very good size, and currently feature queen-size beds. So there's plenty of room to work with in here. There are built-in wardrobes in both of these rooms and the same high-quality carpets that have been utilised in the main bedroom. The rooms have ceiling fans, and there is ducted air conditioning up here too. The second bathroom is on this level, and as you'll see from the floor plan, the shower is a separate room. There's a vanity, and the open space is combined with the laundry, plus a separate toilet. It functions exceptionally well, there's no question that this works for busy family life.

OUTSIDE
The deck we have already spoken about is the place to be all year round I reckon. There's even automatically adjustable louvred patio. Hit the switch and let the sun shine in, flick the switch and keep the sunshine out. You can't control the climate, but you can control your comfort. There is something beautiful about this garden and the way that it's designed. The lower level has beautiful lawns, a cubby house with a view, and room for a trampoline. There's practical parking as well, with two carport areas at the front. There is also available access to get under the house with a trailer or vehicle from the gate to the adjacent reserve.

WHERE IT IS
What's remarkable about Mount Richon is that very few people have ever heard of it, because there's nothing up here other than houses. It's not a destination for anything other than people who choose to live in a beautiful location. It's a stunning spot and it's not far to schools, shops, cafes, restaurants, and more. They're all just down the hill.
