KALBARRI TIME

Unique for Kalbarri this home has head’s turning in admiration with it’s appealing façade that doesn’t stop at the front door. The entrance statement is stylish and inviting and this flows through to the rest of this impressive home that is warm and well cared for. The living area is bright and open with blonde floorboards and Wainscoting paneling plus the sunken lounge adds to the sense of space and cleverly divides the dining/kitchen area while keeping it open-plan, the lounge area also features automatic shutters which adds to the security of this home. The location is ideal and the outook from the front verandah is Meanarra Hill in the distance or the reserve across the road with a path that leads straight past the school to Kalbarri’s town centre and the River.

Kalbarri overview

Kalbarri is a coastal resort and fishing town, 589 km north north west of Perth. It is located at the mouth of the Murchison River, the area becoming popular in the late 1940s as a tourist and fishing resort. In 1948 the government decided to declare a townsite here, and following the survey of lots the townsite was gazetted in 1951.

The name of Kalbarri was chosen from a list of Aboriginal words compiled by Daisy Bates in 1913. It is a man's name from a Murchison tribe, and also the name of an edible seed. The Aboriginal name for the area of Kalbarri has been recorded as "Wurdimarlu".
