First impressions count and this stunning property will immediately shine through to any of your visitors.

A wide tiled entry reveals the largest of two living rooms; this open plan area encompasses a lengthy design which through an extra high ceiling, wide windows and sliding glass doors fills with natural light. In here you’ll find space for lounge and dining areas with a colourful feature wall and slow combustion fire highlighting between the two.

The separate theatre room is befittingly more private with contrasting dark and light décor offering an ‘in-home cinema’ experience.

The kitchen looks across the open plan living and outside to the entertaining area; a modern appearance of marble effect bench tops and crisp white overhead and floor level cabinets fill the area with added features such as a built-in pantry, 900mm stainless steel oven and a dishwasher.

There are four bedrooms; the master suite is separate at the front of the home with a walk-in robe, ensuite and separate w.c. The remaining bedrooms are all situated together and include double door built-in robes.

Both bathrooms offer a modern dual-toned appearance; the main is well prepared with a shower, separate bath and vanity with a wide mirror above. Nearby there is a separate w.c., and the lengthy laundry features plenty of cupboards, a closet and the same modern appeal.

The property has been lovingly cared for and features some big bonuses including a below ground pool, two lengthy entertaining areas (one on either side of the home) and an approx. 6x6 metre powered workshop with a concrete floor. There is also a double garage with automatic roller door and extra height for larger vehicles.

The 1.6098 hectare (nearly 4 acres) property has a rural appeal and is located within the Mauravillo Estate. The lightly treed land features well-maintained gardens, scheme water and almost everything you could ever want in a modern home. Call Tim Christie to arrange a viewing.

Wundowie overview

The townsite of Wundowie is located in the Darling Range 72 kilometres east northeast of Perth and 31 kilometres west southwest of Northam. It is located adjacent to the original railway track from Perth to Northam, and in 1907 the Railways Department applied for a name for a newly constructed siding at the 53 Mile between Werribee and Karrijine. The name Wundowing was suggested by the Lands Department, and this was shortened to Wundowi by the Surveyor General.

In 1943 the government decided to commence preliminary work for a blast furnace and wood distillation plant at Wundowie, and to develop a townsite for the workers. Following the survey of lots in 1946 the townsite of Wundowie was gazetted in 1947. Wundowie derives its name from Woondowing Spring, an Aboriginal name for a nearby spring first recorded in 1874. The spelling for the siding was changed according to rules for spelling Aboriginal names adopted by the Lands Department. The meaning of the name is not known, but but it has been suggested it may be derived from Ngwundow, meaning "to lie down".
