This charming, well presented 3 bedroom double brick and tile home has been extended and renovated over the years. Set on over 3.5 acres of lushness the block backs on to the old Railway Reserve / Heritage walking trail and bush beyond.
Light and bright, the home has neutral décor throughout and offers a practical floor plan. Being fully insulated and with a s/c wood fire, split system r/c air conditioning and ceiling fans, all your creature comforts are catered for.
The master bedroom is large, carpeted and has built-in robes whilst the secondary bedrooms are generously sized - one has two entrances giving it the option of being used as either a study / office as it has in the past or perhaps a children's playroom. Plus a sleek bathroom with contemporary finishes.
The modern kitchen with dishwasher offers views out across the colourful gardens and is easily accessible from the adjoining meals area.
Beyond is the open plan tiled dining area and family room with a very efficient & effective s/c wood fire together with a r/c split system air conditioner.
A separate formal carpeted lounge with built-in shelving and open fire place is perfect for entertaining guests.
The north-facing patio is the perfect place for long lazy lunches, barbecues and sundowners, or to seek out the sunshine on fine wintery days. The well-established gardens, with their mix of native and exotic plants, are a haven for birds; along with the more common species, they are regularly visited by robins, blue wrens and even the beautiful golden whistler.
The picturesque block, mostly cleared is just over 3.5 acres and is connected to mains water.
Nyaania Creek which flows through the property throughout the winter and spring has been a source of great delight to three generations of children who have paddled, sailed boats and looked for tadpoles.
Fencing and gates around the house make the backyard a safe place for children and pets. There is also a carport for extra undercover parking.
This well presented property inside and out is only minutes from the Glen Forrest café strip, medical centre, primary school, Helena College and is on the bus route to Eastern Hill High School and yet still close to the thriving shopping centre at Mundaring Village, and an easy commute to Midland and the airport.

This suburb takes its name from Mahogany Creek, a picturesque tributary of Jane Brook which flows through the area. The creek was known by this name as early as 1830, and takes its name from the towering forest through which it flowed (mahogany was the early colonial name for Jarrah). This place is well known from "The Old Mahogany Inn" located here, an early colonial wayside inn, formerly known as the "Prince of Wales" Inn. The area was developed as orchard land in the 1890's, and a railway stopping place was established here in 1891.
Mahogany Creek is located within the Perth Hills and is part of the Shire of Mundaring. Facilities include Brown Park Main Hall, Mahogany Creek Hall and Danny Wimperus Reserve including a kids playground. This suburb is a close drive to Mundaring Village Shopping Centre and relies on neighbouring suburbs for primary and secondary schools.
