Tucked away in the scenic Margaret River valley, this splendid estate presents an idyllic retreat for holiday makers and nature enthusiasts alike. Over 3.55 hectares of picturesque land, the property offers not one but two charming homes, each boasting two bedrooms and a unique character that complements the tranquil surroundings.
The homes are set on a block that boasts distant views to the coastal ridge land across a vista of trees with a blend of untouched bushland, an olive grove and cleared space capturing the quintessence of the region's natural beauty.
The original rammed earth home exudes timeless elegance, with Jarrah features accentuating its heritage. Built in 1985, and meticulously updated, this abode is a testament to thoughtful maintenance. Its light-flooded living spaces include a central cathedral ceiling and a clever north-facing orientation, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. French doors invite the gentle sea breeze, while the lounge's slow combustion fire warms the soul on winter evenings. The surrounding verandas and a separate deck provide ample outdoor living, with stunning vistas across the valley, whilst a well-equipped kitchen and renovated laundry cater to every convenience.
The second residence, constructed in 2015, mirrors the first home's style but with a contemporary twist. This well-appointed modern abode features two large bedrooms with built-in wardrobes and scenic views, a modern bathroom with bath, and a versatile living area that hints at a myriad of possibilities. Its light-filled spaces echo the main house's ambiance.
Outdoors, the property is a nature lover's dream, with roughly 60% bushland and 40% cleared, offering both privacy and a connection to the wild. An olive grove (producing their own oil!), beautiful London Plane tree's providing shade, veggie garden, fruit trees, a tennis court, and a substantial powered workshop shed complete this exceptional offering.
This serene haven is not just a home; it's a lifestyle, with its beautiful bush drive entrance, the bush block's jarrah and marri trees ensuring seclusion. This is truly a rare find, presenting endless opportunities for the discerning buyer seeking a multifaceted property in harmony with nature.

Track this property
Track propertyThe townsite of Margaret River is located in the south west agricultural area, 277 kilometres south southwest of Perth and 48 kilometres south southwest of Busselton. It is located on the Margaret River from which it derives its name. The precise origin of the naming of the river is not known, but it was possibly named by John Bussell in honour of Margaret Wyche, a friend in England who was expected to follow the Bussell's to Australia. The name is first shown on a map of the region published in 1839.
In 1910 the Margaret River Progress Association wrote to the Minister for Lands requesting a townsite be declared at "the Upper Margaret Bridge". The reason given was that "the district is likely to be dotted with public buildings several miles apart in the near future if a townsite is not made available shortly". The District Surveyor who inspected the area preferred an area near the lower bridge on Caves Road, but this land was not available. Lots were surveyed in 1912, and the Townsite of Margaret River gazetted in 1913. In 1918 the name of the townsite was changed to "Margaret", but it was changed back to Margaret River in 1927, due to local usage of the name always being Margaret River.
