Hello you,
It's me, writing to you from the future, because I just wanted to let you know - you were right. We still love this remarkable property. And I'm so glad you had the wisdom and forethought to call it home. Remember when we first stepped in the front door? We knew we’d stumbled on a treasure, an original mid 1930s character home that had been extended and gently modernised over the years, but without losing its charm. High ceilings, picture rails, architraves, and Jarrah floorboards - I want you to know we kept them all as we got busy going all Grand Designs on the place. The formal lounge with cosy fireplace and those huge windows, you should see it now. It's been a joy to work with such a spacious main bedroom - there is literally nothing we can’t do! We've loved living in it and upgrading as we go - you were bang on when you chose to make this gorgeous place our own, instead of over paying for someone else’s ideas.
Oh and Inglewood? Isn’t it glorious! Even better than we'd imagined, to be honest. Doesn't hurt that we bought on ‘Inglewood’s prettiest street’! We’re on Beaufort Street (70m) every day, and on first name basis and remembered preferred coffee order at Finlay & Sons. It takes us about 10 minutes to get into the CBD via the bus, but - and I know you’ll be surprised - often we just ride in! Woolies is a short walk away (700m), Aldi is even closer (450m), so we’ve become quite the proficient chef in our sunny, sweet kitchen. Also, don’t be shocked, but we took up tennis. Macaulay Park is only down the road and we’ve found a whole new world of podcasts to listen to on the stroll to doubles and back. We get now why the last family lived in and loved this home for 60 odd years. I reckon we might just stick around a wee while, too.
Best decision you ever made - hands down.
Thanks again you clever thing.
Love
Future You.

Inglewood is an inner-northern suburb of Perth with a rich history and heritage. Present-day Inglewood is influenced by the charm of its past. Established in 1831, the bulk of Inglewood's landscape stems from its two distinct growth periods, 1904 to 1920 and 1935 to 1940, with renovation and restoration returning the pre-war vintage homes to their former glory.
The lifestyle in Inglewood is one of charm and convenience. Its beautifully old-fashioned suburban landscape is unique, yet its proximity to major urban inner-city hubs ensures modern conveniences and requirements are met. Inglewood's main commercial area is located on Beaufort Street and features retail facilities, cafes, a library, recreation centre and amenities. There is also an aquatic centre, golf course, facilities for tennis and soccer, a major park and a local primary school within the area.
