For those seeking a thoughtful escape from suburban living, this elegant one-bedroom property presents a compelling opportunity to embrace a more considered way of life. Set on almost five gently graded acres and positioned discreetly at the block's brow, the home offers privacy while maintaining a connection to a community of like-minded residents on similar acreages.
The heart of the home is a light-filled central living space that flows seamlessly into a remarkable atrium running the length of one side. This verdant indoor-outdoor room with a tranquil central pond creates a year-round connection to nature while offering a protected space for relaxation and entertaining.
At one end of the open plan, the well-appointed kitchen features stone benchtops, a freestanding oven, and a generously proportioned walk-in pantry with dedicated space for a fridge, freezer, and storage of home-grown produce and preserves. Easy-care tiled floors throughout maintain a casual style, while the large, fully tiled bathroom/laundry delivers style and practicality in equal measure.
The current principal bedroom with a wall of full-height, mirror-fronted robes and a large east-facing window could be complemented by a second, with an adjoining retreat suited to reconfiguration.
The property's infrastructure supports a self-sufficient lifestyle. A high-clearance powered machinery shed has previously housed trucks, while a powered, insulated, and partitioned shed offers additional possibilities for workshops, studios, or storage.
The five acres present endless opportunities for those drawn to productive gardening. There is ample space for a home orchard, vegetable gardens, and keeping chooks. The connection to scheme water makes caring for a productive home garden less fraught. The fully fenced block offers ample space for a large rainwater tank.
Just a five-minute drive away, the township of Wundowie offers all essential amenities, including schooling, a swimming pool, and local shops. This ensures the property delivers a balance of rural tranquillity and practical convenience.
This property presents a rare opportunity to step away from suburban constraints while maintaining a connection to the community – perfect for those seeking to downsize without compromise or first-home buyers ready to embrace a more intentional way of life.

The townsite of Wundowie is located in the Darling Range 72 kilometres east northeast of Perth and 31 kilometres west southwest of Northam. It is located adjacent to the original railway track from Perth to Northam, and in 1907 the Railways Department applied for a name for a newly constructed siding at the 53 Mile between Werribee and Karrijine. The name Wundowing was suggested by the Lands Department, and this was shortened to Wundowi by the Surveyor General.
