Nestled on a sprawling – and elevated – 1,100sqm of prime subdivisible North Beach land, this fantastic 5 bedroom 3 bathroom family home spans two wonderful levels and even benefits from splendid ocean views from upstairs, as well as an abundance of outdoor space for the whole family to enjoy.

Add your own personal modern touches throughout and prosper even further here, taking full advantage of one of the best coastal locations going around, just footsteps away from the glorious surf and sand, as well as the iconic rock pools of both the Mettams and Hamersley swimming holes. Experience glorious North Beach and its immaculate natural surrounds in the best way possible.

There is ample parking space either side of the double front security gates at the bottom of the driveway, with endless room on the front verge complemented by more than enough room for your boat, caravan or trailer within the confines of a massive front yard. Large trees, plenty of shade and a splendid north-facing aspect helps create a sublime safe haven for the kids and pets to roam around and let their imaginations run wild even further.

The entry verandah wraps around to a spacious side patio for covered outdoor entertaining, beside a solar-heated lap pool at the rear. The pool is filled by the property’s bore and is P-shaped, with plenty of room on its western side for everybody to relax and dip into the water. Completing the external features is a generous remote-controlled double lock-up garage with a door to the patio and roller-door access to the backyard and pool area.

Inside, a welcoming open-plan family, dining and kitchen area is warmed by wooden floorboards and has its own walk-in storeroom, along with two gorgeous bay windows, overlooking the expansive northern yard. The kitchen itself is well-equipped and finished off with sleek granite bench tops, a breakfast bar for casual meals, double sinks, microwave and appliance nooks, a pantry, a Smeg gas cooktop, a Miele oven and a stainless-steel dishwasher.

Double French doors extend living options and reveal a huge games/television room that can be whatever you want it to be and boasts low-maintenance timber-look flooring, a gas bayonet for winter heating, built-in bay-window seating and a terrific vista across the pool. Also on the ground floor are a large under-stair storeroom, a versatile fifth bedroom-come-study (with built-in wardrobes and a built-in desk/multi-person work station) and a functional laundry with a French door, ample storage, a fully-tiled third/guest bathroom with a shower, toilet and vanity and outdoor access to the rear of the residence.

Upstairs, the landing plays host to full-height built-in linen storage (and lots of it) and direct access out on to a superb covered wraparound balcony, with pleasant sea views to savour. Of the bedrooms up here, the master suite is massive and has its own balcony access, along with a ceiling fan, custom-fitted wall-to-wall built-in robes and a fully-tiled ensuite – shower, vanity, heated towel rack and separate fully-tiled toilet.

The second and third bedrooms are both large, have ceiling fans and have fitted and mirrored built-in robes. The spacious fourth bedroom has its own fan, as well as balcony access, ocean views to wake up to and full-height built-in robes and storage space. A fully-tiled powder room and a fully-tiled main bathroom – the latter comprising of a shower, separate bathtub, heated towel rack and twin vanities.

Embrace a lifestyle where exceptional cafes and restaurants are just around the corner and the sprawling Charles Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields are only walking distance away from your front door. The likes of top schools, North Beach Shopping Centre, beautiful Trigg Beach, the lush Clarko Reserve, Hillarys Boat Harbour and the new-look Karrinyup Shopping Centre are all in close proximity – with the vibrant local Flora Terrace precinct very much within close proximity.

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
