A Home to Live In—or a Smart Investment to Grow.

This 2006 constructed family 4 x 2 has a solid long-term rental history and is currently leased, but can be available to occupy for buyers looking to move in at settlement.

Surrounded by private neighbours and directly opposite Nicholson Park and playgrounds, this family-friendly 4x2 features generously sized bedrooms, a light and bright open plan living area leading to a large outdoor patio area and also has side access to the back yard for convenience of access or parking for boats and other vehicles.

The home features split-system A/C throughout, a walk-in robe in the very roomy master bedroom, built-in robes in all other bedrooms, a powder room with a vanity for guest convenience, and all the typical features a modern family home requires.

The 713sqm land size is larger than most and provides ample opportunity to add addtional parking, a shed or a pool out the back and still have room for the kids to play at home or directly across the road on the park.

Kununurra overview

The townsite of Kununurra is located in the Kimberley region in the extreme northeast of the state, 3214 kilometres from Perth. When the Ord River Irrigation scheme was being planned in the 1950s a townsite was included in the proposed development. Amongst other submissions of Aboriginal names put forward for the new townsite being created in the vicinity of the Ord River Dam was "Cununurra", said to mean "black soil" and to be the Aboriginal name for the Ord River according to Mary Durack. A Mr. Lewis of the Public Works Department reported that a soil survey undertaken in 1954 had disclosed that 99 per cent of the land to be irrigated from the dam was composed of "cununurra clay". This name was not favoured by the Postmaster-General's Department because of its similarity to place names in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. However, to compromise, that department suggested adopting the spelling, "Kununurra", this version being approved in March 1960. The townsite was gazetted in 1961.
