This is very exciting!
143 Brewer Road has been home to the same family since the 1980's. They have raised a family here, kept horses, enjoyed the gardens, pool, nature and tranquillity of this special rural lifestyle for many years, but now the time has finally come for a down-size. Which means this home on a big beautiful hectare could soon be yours.
But what makes this especially interesting is that BIG CHANGE is now afoot. Just recently the zoning of this area has changed to URBAN DEVELOPMENT. There will be a transition period now for the next few years but the writing is on the wall so to speak, this will become a residential neighbourhood and the land here is potentially gold.
It's not totally straightforward, there will need to be a structure plan created which could come from a big developer or even a group of neighbours.. and change won't be quick. So you could live here and enjoy the space for the next few years, or lease it out for a time... but sooner or later development is almost certain.
There is a Western Power Easement running through the property, so we believe that part will become public open space/parkland, leaving you still with a LOT of land to work with.
For now though, enjoy the home. It's a gorgeous 3x1 with a renovated kitchen and a HUGE enclosed patio for hosting big family gatherings. Parking is never a problem and neighbours can seem ages away. You'd hardly believe you're right near the city of Perth as the general feel of the place is that you miles away down south somewhere.
All offers will be considered so come on down, check it out, and let's get talking :)

This area was first settled in 1873 by William Henry Mead. He built a home in the Ridge Hill area, and established an orchard named "Orangedale". The name of Maida Vale was chosen as the district name by a public meeting of local residents in 1910, and comes from the property name of another early settler, Mr W H McCormack. It is assumed that the name was derived from that of the west London suburb of this name, which in turn is named after Maida (S. Pietro di Maida) in Calabria, Italy. The British Army defeated the French there in 1806, and in commemoration of the victory Maida Hall and Maida Vale were named.
Within the suburb there is a primary school, Maida Vale Primary School, a golf course, numerous parks/ovals, small shops, and a heated swimming pool. Maida Vale retains areas of natural bushland and is not completely built-up with housing.
