Tucked away in a bird-song-filled enclave of Mundaring, this remarkable cedar and iron property embodies the quintessential Hills lifestyle. What a blend of sophistication and nature! First built in 1997 on 1.62 hectares of pristine natural bushland bursting with seasonal wildflowers, it's been cared for and upgraded since to create a showstopper of a dream-come-true family treetop retreat. The clever design positions the home towards the rear of the block, creating an elevated, and very magical, 'treehouse' feel and, in turn, an abundance of parking and a lovely winding driveway. With ancillary accommodation under the main roof, you also have the ideal setup if you're seeking an additional income stream through Airbnb or a private space for extended family.
Inside, the home is spectacular. Exposed beams, gleaming Jarrah floors, and rustic bush poles that enhance this home's architectural appeal while still giving a warm, character-filled vibe. The internal layout offers both versatility and privacy with three spacious family bedrooms in a blissfully separate wing from the Primary suite. The main bedroom is a country dream with soaring ceilings, exposed timber beams, and a pair of wide timber French doors that lead out to one spectacular view from the balcony. Speaking of views, check out the one from the corner tub in the contemporary and sleek bathroom! In fact, the views from just about every window in this house are breathtaking, and will be a daily reminder of how lucky you were to find this home.

Track this property
Track propertyPermanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
Known as the heart of the Perth hills, Mundaring is located on the eastern edge of the Perth Hills. It offers stunning walking and cycling trails, spectacular state forest and national parks and home to the historic Mundaring Weir. Other facilities include two primary schools (Sacred Heart School and Mundaring Primary School) and one secondary school (Mundaring Christian College).
