TRANQUIL WATER AND PARK OUTLOOK

A sanctuary awaits in a central location ideal to enjoy so many of the south west attractions.

Only 5 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to central Busselton, 15 minutes to Dunsborough or 28 minutes to Margaret River. Ask yourself 'What's the plan for this weekend?'

With a direct north aspect over a large feature lake this property offers the most tranquil outlook and surrounds to enjoy every day. Rarely do the north facing lakeside properties become available.

The home was built in 2009 by WA Country Builders with the absolute focus being on taking advantage of the position, resulting in spectacular views from the living area, master bedroom and alfresco.

The open plan kitchen/dining/family room with raised ceilings enjoys an outlook both to the rear of the property and also the right-hand side. The superb position of this lot is possibly the best in the estate. The alfresco can be accessed from the main living area and is the ideal summer retreat.

A generous master bedroom, with walk in robe and private en-suite, can be opened to the alfresco and takes in a private view through the alfresco and over the water, this has to be seen to be appreciated.

Separated from the main living area the property also offers both a home theatre and an office, the three minor bedrooms are all generous in size and offer easy access to the centrally positioned bathroom and laundry.

Overall, this property represents a great family home with lots of living options and within close proximity to primary schools and high schools.

Vasse overview

he townsite of Vasse is located in the south west, 240 kilometres south southwest of Perth and 11 kilometres south west of Busselton. The townsite is named after the nearby Vasse River and Vasse Estuary, both of which are named after a French seaman, Thomas Timothee Vasse who was believed to have drowned here in June 1801. Vasse was a helmsman on the Naturaliste, a ship which was part of a French scientific expedition to Australia in 1801-03. He was washed overboard and lost, and the river was consequently named in his honour. In 1838, G.F. Moore interviewed the aboriginals about Vasse and noted in his diary that Vasse had not been drowned but died later from anxiety, exposure and poor diet.

Vasse townsite was formerly part of the Busselton Commonage reserve, an area set aside in 1879 for the common use of Busselton residents. In 1898 the land was inspected by the Department of Agriculture, and was proposed as suitable for subdivision into five and 10 acre blocks for dairying in support of the soon to open Busselton butter factory. The good land in the area was swamp land, and release of lots was delayed pending drainage. When subdivision was finalised in 1906, the surveyor suggested the area be named Vasse after the river, and the townsite of Vasse was then gazetted in 1907. The townsite is very elongated and covers three separate areas. Vasse Siding on the Busselton-Margaret River Railway was named in 1923.
