It's your home amongst the trees. This charming 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom brick-and-tile residence is as solid as they come and sits under plenty of shade and natural scenery, nestled on a huge block (of almost half-an-acre) at the very same time.
If a place with space is what you seek, then this is it. Although, your own personal modern touches will most definitely be welcomed with open arms, here.
A huge front lounge room makes an instant first impression here - low-maintenance timber-look flooring, feature brick fireplace, split-system air-conditioning and all. Character slate floor tiles grace the kitchen and dining area, where you will also find an electric-upright cooker. The timeless slate continues into the adjacent - and enclosed - sunroom with direct access to a delightful entertaining patio, within the backyard.
There is also a self-contained 1x1 "granny flat" with its own kitchenette/sink, large living/bedroom area with a ceiling fan, an intimate ensuite bathroom (with a shower, toilet and vanity) and its own private security-door access - off the alfresco.
The sprawling "blank canvas" of a backyard can be whatever you want it to be and currently plays host to a storage lean-to linking two storage sheds on either side. There is another adjacent garden shed, for good measure. A future swimming pool or workshop wouldn't look out of place out here, either.
Walk to both Lesmuride Primary School and Lesmurdie Senior High School from this property's prime position, also close to lush local parklands, Mazenod College and so much more. The beautiful Ray Owen Reserve nearby is home to a host of community sporting facilities, a national BMX track and the wonderful Ray Owen Sports Centre.
The residence is also handy to two local IGA supermarkets for all of your groceries, the area's other main school in St Brigid's College, the amazing Lesmurdie Falls National Park, bus stops, major arteries, childcare centres and other community facilities and the heart of old Kalamunda town centre. Impressive is an understatement, as far as location is concerned!

Like Kalamunda, the development of the "Lesmurdie" area is closely tied to the exploitation of the Jarrah forest in the region by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company Ltd. In 1897, Mr Archibald Sanderson, a Perth journalist commenced the acquisition of a number of these properties, with a view to building up a "rural retreat" and he named his property "Lesmurdie". Lesmurdie Cottage was a shooting-box in Banffshire, Scotland, near Dufftown and was let to Mr Sanderson's father for shooting. It was in memory of this cottage that Sanderson applied the name to his property.
The suburb has two shopping centres in the area including Lesmurdie Village on Sanderson Road and the Lesmurdie Road Shopping Centre on the corner of Rooth Rd and Lesmurdie Rd. There are three primary schools including Lesmurdie Primary School, Falls Road Primary School and St Brigid's, and also three high schools including Lesmurdie Senior High School, Mazenod College for boys and St Brigid's College for girls.
