What to love?

Only a little over 200 metres to the water's edge! Nestled on a generous 988m2 lot, this charming brick home offers a cozy retreat in the heart of Dampier. Built in 1977, the property boasts a comfortable 112m2 floor plan, comprising 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

Step inside to discover a galley style kitchen adorned with cabinetry painted in a soothing Wedgewood blue-grey hue. Modern appliances including a dishwasher, oven, and cooktop complement plenty of storage space and there’s even room for a double width fridge. The semi-concealed laundry area offers additional convenience with a benchtop and more cupboards, potentially doubling as a butler's pantry.

Warm-toned flooring guides you seamlessly into the dedicated dining area, bathed in natural light from the glass wall that separates it from the hallway. Adjacent, the spacious carpeted living area welcomes the whole family, with double windows providing a picturesque view of the street.

The three bedrooms offer comfort and style, with the master featuring a ranchslider door to the exterior and elegant window dressing, while the other two would be perfect for kids or guests. A tiled family bathroom completes the interior, featuring a bath, shower, and vanity with storage. Split system air conditioning and fans throughout complement the balmy Dampier breezes.

Outside, both front and back access make the property convenient for a multitude of uses, accompanied by a hard stand for boats or caravans and abundant parking space. The rear of the property offers a perfect play area for kids, with room for a trampoline and as many toys as you wish, and the covered alfresco space makes a wonderful entertaining space for long, lazy barbeques. Meanwhile, a trellised courtyard at the front provides a private spot for evening relaxation with a cool drink.

Add in the double carport, storage sheds, and proximity to the Dampier coastline and your new life is complete.

Dampier overview

A town on the northwest coast, west of Roebourne, Dampier was first established as a port for Hamersley Iron in the 1960s. It was also gazetted a townsite in 1972. Dampier is named after the English explorer and onetime buccaneer, William Dampier, who visited the adjacent islands in 1699 in his ship the "Roebuck". The island group through which he sailed was named "Dampier Archipelago" by Captain Louis Freycinet in 1803.

William Dampier (1651-1715) was the first Englishman to set foot on Australian soil. As a young man he took part in various adventures on both coasts of central America, and in 1683 joined a group of buccaneers bound for the Pacific. In 1686 he joined the "Cygnet" under Captain Swan, and in 1688, briefly visited Western Australia near Broome. He returned to Western Australia in 1699 for a longer visit, exploring the coast from north of Houtman Abrolhos to north of Broome. He landed on, and named, Rosemary Island in the Dampier Archipelago on this expedition.
