Two Homes in One

If you love being close to nature, but still want the convenience of being close to town, we have found the property for you! Located on the edge of Wilson Inlet in a lovely bush setting is this custom designed and built home. Extensive covered verandahs allow you to enjoy your surroundings all year round.

Constructed of Limestone block, cedar and iron, the home has a very solid but rustic feel. The use of bush poles and natural rails on the balcony adds to the charm while custom jarrah window frames, doors and flywires convey quality and longevity.

Essentially two homes connected by a large verandah, this is the ideal B&B, multi-generational home, a home to share with your friends, or simply live in one and rent out the other. There are plenty of options here!

The main home features the best water views and the living area features natural limestone walls which are complimented by jarrah joinery and terracotta floors. This space is airconditioned and benefits from a lovely slow combustion wood fire. The solid timber kitchen with natural benchtops is a real highlight and features walk-in pantry, dishwasher, double wall oven and plenty of storage. There is one bedroom upstairs with a large balcony to take in the views, bush, birds and kangaroos. The second bedroom is downstairs along with the semi-ensuite bathroom.

The adjoining cottage is extremely comfortable with its own living/ meals area, full kitchen, bathroom and two good sized bedrooms. There is a large, cool cellar below this section of the house.

Features include:
• Private bush setting on edge of Wilson Inlet
• Views across the water to Nullaki Peninsula

Denmark overview

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.

Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
