3 x 2 PLUS office PLUS POOL!

Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac and bordering the serene Lily Lagoon, this hidden gem offers a unique blend of tranquility and convenience. This spacious three bedroom, 2 bathroom home with office has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind retreat.

The extensive verandahs on three sides have been enclosed with tiles, screens, and storm shutters, creating additional living spaces to be enjoyed all year round. The highlight? A below-ground swimming pool under the main roof, making this possibly the only home in Kununurra with an indoor pool!

Designed to maximize its peaceful location, the enclosed verandahs now offer protected, private views of the shady foreshore reserve. This natural, fresh-air space is perfect for nature lovers. The current owners even used to kayak around the lake to enjoy a drink at the nearby pub or Lakeside Resort. While the banks are less accessible now, a neighborhood secret path through the bush remains open for keen paddlers most of the year.

Currently leased to a corporate tenant until June 2025 returning $575pw

Kununurra overview

The townsite of Kununurra is located in the Kimberley region in the extreme northeast of the state, 3214 kilometres from Perth. When the Ord River Irrigation scheme was being planned in the 1950s a townsite was included in the proposed development. Amongst other submissions of Aboriginal names put forward for the new townsite being created in the vicinity of the Ord River Dam was "Cununurra", said to mean "black soil" and to be the Aboriginal name for the Ord River according to Mary Durack. A Mr. Lewis of the Public Works Department reported that a soil survey undertaken in 1954 had disclosed that 99 per cent of the land to be irrigated from the dam was composed of "cununurra clay". This name was not favoured by the Postmaster-General's Department because of its similarity to place names in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. However, to compromise, that department suggested adopting the spelling, "Kununurra", this version being approved in March 1960. The townsite was gazetted in 1961.
