The best example of a downsizing / investment Villa in Mundaring bar none!
There are a couple of key factors that are important when downsizing or choosing a strong investment property. Location - the home needs to be close to everything so you can walk not drive. Presentation - Villa living should not mean compromise. Outdoor Living - It is nice to have space to Garden and to sit and enjoy your beautiful Hills evenings and outdoor space is key to people in the Hills. Neighbours - you want a quiet, enjoyable lifestyle and people you can talk to but not "in your face".
This is where 1/17 Craig Street comes in. This superbly presented Villa Home is all of the above and more. Right across from the brilliant Cafe Mojo's and a short walk to Rise, Dome, the Shops and Library you will hardly ever need a car; indeed a Gopher will likely suffice.
So beautifully maintained inside and out, this is a magical home with quality fittings, ducted air conditioning, light and bright colour schemes and room in ALL the right places. And the outside is just as impressive - with upmarket ELECTRIC roller shades that enclose your patio for all weather outdoor enjoyment, a garden shed and plenty of room to garden. If I was downsizing - and I'm tempted now - this is where I would want to live. How about you?
With a large master bedroom with a wall of robes, there is room for a king bed or 2 singles or whatever configuration you need. There is a TV mount in here and it is beautifully decorated with quality soft furnishings, and comfort is through a ceiling fan and ducted air con!
The main living area off the entrance hall will be perfect for formal entertaining or as a quiet place to read and relax. The main informal area, as you can see, is pretty special both in size and presentation easily fitting a large dining table and your couches and dressers. The kitchen is beautifully positioned so you can easily serve meals or converse with your guests while you prep.
There is a second bedroom and a fully accessible bathroom as well as a good sized laundry and WC in the back "wing" so you can set up an office if you wish or have guests over - whatever works for your lifestyle really!
It is important to note the impressive electric blinds in the Patio area as this really extends your home to include the outdoors in nearly any weather. Its a fantastic idea - upmarket too - and makes the home a step up from anything else. There is a good sized garden shed, beautifully maintained and mulched garden beds and a secure lockup car park as well as a guest parking bay to the right at the front.

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
Known as the heart of the Perth hills, Mundaring is located on the eastern edge of the Perth Hills. It offers stunning walking and cycling trails, spectacular state forest and national parks and home to the historic Mundaring Weir. Other facilities include two primary schools (Sacred Heart School and Mundaring Primary School) and one secondary school (Mundaring Christian College).
