Superb Location in Leeuwin Lane!

Situated in the much sought after Leeuwin Lane enclave and just south of the hotel and shopping centre, is this delightful unit that has direct access to the Hardy Inlet foreshore and boardwalk. Wow, what a location, it doesn't get much better! A clever mix of limestone and cedar externally gives the unit a very appealing finish, whilst internally limestone combined with stunning jarrah floor boards, staircase and windows combined with soaring limed pine cathedral ceilings provide an extraordinary feeling of space.

Designed with retirees in mind the main living dining kitchen area as well as the master bedroom are all on the ground floor. The use of a mix of timbers enhances the natural relaxing atmosphere which is apparent throughout. The master bedroom offers built in robes as well as an ensuite. There is a generous kitchen which leads out to the laundry and the second shower and toilet. Off the laundry is a very good sized store room which in turn gives direct access to the garage. Upstairs you find the second bedroom and a generous open plan area which can be used in a range of ways such as extra sleeping, office, second lounge, kids activity area etc.

This unit has an exceptional outlook to fabulous paperbarks and enjoys very private north facing courtyards.

This quality built unit has been designed to be low maintenance and is ideal for permanent or short term living. As these units do not come to the market often make sure you do not miss out by contacting me today.

Augusta overview

The most south westerly town in the state, Augusta was named by Gov. Sir James Stirling in May 1830. Until 2003 it was thought the name honoured Princess Augusta Sophia, second daughter of King George III and Queen Charlotte. In 2003 the book "James Stirling - Admiral and Founding Governor of Western Australia" a letter by James Turner is referred to which states "a town is purposed to be built named Augusta, County of Sussex, in compliment to the Duke". Princess Augusta Sophia died unmarried, and the "Duke" is most likely the Duke of Sussex, Augustus Frederick (Hanover), the 6th son of George III. He married Lady Augusta Murray in 1793, but the marriage was deemed a violation of the Royal Marriage Act, and was declared null and void in 1794. Lady Augusta Murray is most likely the person after whom Augusta is named.

Life in Augusta

Augusta is a town on the south west coast of WA and was predominately a tourist town up until the late 1990s when many people chose to retired to the region. The town is known for its major attractions such as Cape Leeuwin "where two oceans meet" and its impressive lighthouse. Augusta is dependent on professional fishing, timber and tourism. There is a local shopping centre in the area and two primary schools - Augusta Primary School and Karridale Primary School, with the closest secondary school Margaret River Senior High School.
