The Residence

Being offered to the market for the first time is this amazing lifestyle property! It's a one of kind with its stunning views, 'homestead' inspired home, huge workshop, land, pool, entertaining… the list goes on.

As mentioned, the house has those 'homestead' vibes from the moment your meander up the sealed driveway. Inside the kitchen has views across the trees to the city and comprises a breakfast bar and dining area which is the central part to the home. The warm Jarrah floorboards add a timeless feel which flow through the kitchen, lounge, hall, right through to the additional office space. The master bedroom is oversized, and there is plenty of room for an additional lounge area or a second bathroom. The minor bedrooms and bathroom are all decent size for the growing family or guests when they arrive. Add the reverse cycle ducted air conditioning and you have the modern touch on a timeless home.

Outside there is something for everyone! Entertain the kids or friends with 'that' pool! Turn on the bubbles and relax while taking in the views of the city or turn the swim spa on for some home exercise. Out of the pool is the extensive timber decking, outdoor shower, and a paulownia wood lined gazebo with downlighting, ceiling fan, patio blinds and outdoor kitchen.

There is plenty of parking for cars in the gabled carports, room for a caravan, trailers (or both) plus there is a whopping 10x13m powered workshop for the home handyman.

Nature lovers will be delighted with this property! To the rear of the property is your own native bush where you can access the National Park and explore the Lesmurdie Falls. The main section of the property is home to various fruit trees including Loquat, Olives, Mulberry, and Macadamia trees. There is plenty of lawn area for a game of cricket while still having plenty of room for the cubby house and trampoline.

While this home is nestled on the side of the hill which gives way to the amazing views, the pool, carports, home, and lawn are all on the one level which makes life easy for this type of property.

With a hectare of land there is scope to add to the existing dwelling with an extension, build an additional granny flat or increase the already generous workshop space.

While there is no second bathroom, the owners have previously researched the idea. There is so much room in the master bedroom and services from the existing bathroom are accessible from the exterior of the home. For more information on this, please contact me or I am happy to meet trades on site if this is something you would like to explore.

Forrestfield overview

Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of kalamunda and is 15 kilometres of the south-east of Perth. Local folklore suggests that the name comes from Charles Hale who settled here in 1902 and planted a crop amongst the trees. A neighbour referred to him wanting a forest and a field at the same time and the name was later applied to the area. A Forrest Field Progress Association was formed as early as 1927 and the name is shown on plans as Forrestfield for 1944.

Life in Forrestfield

Forrestfield is home to the Hartfield Park Recreation Centre which includes an indoor stadium for various sports, an 18-hole golf course, equestrian centre, nature park and lake. There are also a range of primary and secondary schools in the area and construction is currently underway on the  Forrestfield-Airport Link which is scheduled to open in 2021 and will connect Perth Airport with the city. A Forrestfield train station is included in this development.
