Imagine your own piece of paradise where you are both proud to entertain in a stunning and award winning architecturally designed home, and happy to simply hide from the world amongst the pristine natural bush which overlooks The Margaret River and Wooditjup National Park beyond.

This 3 Ha property enjoys views of the rapids in winter and two large pools in summer, is hidden amongst giant Marri, Jarrah and Karri Forest which offer total privacy and is only a few minutes’ drive or a stroll through the tranquil river walk trails to the township of Margaret River. Occasionally, you will hear the roar of the Indian Ocean pounding into the coast where world renowned surf beaches and the seaside town of Prevelly are just ten minutes’ drive away. Also located virtually on your doorstep are many world class wineries and restaurants which add to the shopping, cafes, and dining options available in the township of Margaret River and the Leeuwin - Naturaliste Cape.

Ingemar will spoil you with a deeply considered design by an architect of international repute where important functional detail and storage are cleverly hidden, allowing elegance to prevail.

The large glass sliding doors which completely retract ensure the home is filled with light and fresh air, emphasising the connection to nature as you invite the outside in. The movable timber screens ensure the rooms are filled with both space and light, the Formcrete walls, clad externally with spotted gum, the underfloor heating and double-glazed doors and windows ensure the moderate climate of the region is always maintained to your desired temperature.

The kitchen has been carefully thought out and appointed with the very best of appliances, accompanied by a hidden scullery perfect for entertaining, allowing you to be still part of the action and not removed from your guests.

Here, the architect, Kerry Hills AO, has deliberately removed the corner mullions expanding the rooms and allowing an easy migration from inside to out without feeling you are crossing a boundary giving unrestricted access and views to the cantilevered deck which produces an impression it hovers above the ground.

Generous in light, size and appointment, the home offers absolute opulence, which is again complimented by the separate two storey, two-bedroom studio which ensures guests are included in this luxurious ambience providing generous space, privacy and comfort amongst nature.

Inspections will unveil more than words can provide.

Margaret River overview

The townsite of Margaret River is located in the south west agricultural area, 277 kilometres south southwest of Perth and 48 kilometres south southwest of Busselton. It is located on the Margaret River from which it derives its name. The precise origin of the naming of the river is not known, but it was possibly named by John Bussell in honour of Margaret Wyche, a friend in England who was expected to follow the Bussell's to Australia. The name is first shown on a map of the region published in 1839.

In 1910 the Margaret River Progress Association wrote to the Minister for Lands requesting a townsite be declared at "the Upper Margaret Bridge". The reason given was that "the district is likely to be dotted with public buildings several miles apart in the near future if a townsite is not made available shortly". The District Surveyor who inspected the area preferred an area near the lower bridge on Caves Road, but this land was not available. Lots were surveyed in 1912, and the Townsite of Margaret River gazetted in 1913. In 1918 the name of the townsite was changed to "Margaret", but it was changed back to Margaret River in 1927, due to local usage of the name always being Margaret River.
