This executive townhouse is one of six residences thoughtfully designed by award-winning MDC Architects, located in the heart of Margaret River’s town centre and master-built to a demanding specification by Bruce Construction Design, with landscaping by Kelsie Davies Landscape Architecture.
Set among a stand of mature gum trees retained through careful site planning, the home pairs burnished concrete floors with warm, earthy textures, timber, and fibre cement detailing. Sustainability has been considered down to the last detail, with double-glazed windows and an 8+ star NatHERS energy rating delivering true year-round comfort, while rainwater is channelled into courtyards and rain gardens rather than lost to stormwater.
The open-plan living and dining area is flooded with natural light, anchored by a designer kitchen fitted with Miele appliances, Caesarstone bench tops, brushed-nickel tapware, and bespoke cabinetry. Sliding doors lead onto an enclosed alfresco retreat, shaded beneath the canopy of the gum trees, made for year-round entertaining and open to the cool coastal breeze.
Three generous bedrooms, each with built-in robes, quality woollen carpets, and ceiling fans, are serviced by two stylish bathrooms. Parking is discreetly tucked out of view, keeping the streetscape clean and uncluttered. A private storage shed connects to the carport, complete with provisions for electric vehicle charging.
Within pleasant walking distance to the vibrant town centre and its abundance of celebrated cafes and eateries, supermarkets and boutiques, and a short scenic drive along Bussell Highway to internationally recognised wineries and restaurants including Vasse Felix and Leeuwin Estate. Perfectly positioned on the idyllic Cape to Cape coastline and just 10 km's to the world-renowned Surfers Point and some of Western Australia's most spectacular beaches, this is the ultimate lifestyle destination.
Conveniently located in a prime central position within the region, providing easy access to the popular Vasse Village Farmers Market and a quick commute to Busselton and Augusta, this is an ideal base from which to explore the very best amenities the South West has to offer. The townsite of Margaret River is located in the south west agricultural area, 277 kilometres south southwest of Perth and 48 kilometres south southwest of Busselton. It is located on the Margaret River from which it derives its name. The precise origin of the naming of the river is not known, but it was possibly named by John Bussell in honour of Margaret Wyche, a friend in England who was expected to follow the Bussell's to Australia. The name is first shown on a map of the region published in 1839.
In 1910 the Margaret River Progress Association wrote to the Minister for Lands requesting a townsite be declared at "the Upper Margaret Bridge". The reason given was that "the district is likely to be dotted with public buildings several miles apart in the near future if a townsite is not made available shortly". The District Surveyor who inspected the area preferred an area near the lower bridge on Caves Road, but this land was not available. Lots were surveyed in 1912, and the Townsite of Margaret River gazetted in 1913. In 1918 the name of the townsite was changed to "Margaret", but it was changed back to Margaret River in 1927, due to local usage of the name always being Margaret River.
