JEWEL IN THE CROWN - MEELUP VALLEY

Literally once in a lifetime an opportunity becomes obtainable in this sensational part of the world and JMW Real Estate is honoured to present these exceptional properties For Sale by Tender in 2020.

The two parcels of rare agricultural acreage both consist of 18.85 Hectares (46.6 Acres) per Lot with some of the most rich and fertile soils in the region. The gently rolling pasture undulates into the beginning of the Meelup valley and brook which flows through to the beach and ocean. There are absolutely stunning ocean views from both Lots 55 and 54 with different locations featuring north and east aspects towards Geographe Bay.

Lot 55 features breathtaking ocean views down the valley and across the lush green tree canopies of the partially vegetated block. This magnificent block boasts a mixture of ancient jarrah and marri trees, local flora and fauna, plus has the benefit of a large dam which collects the first water from the underground spring's commencement. The property is north facing across the valley and also neighbours the Meelup National Park.

Lot 54 features the established timber cottage which has been enjoyed for many generations and is a truly charming abode. The original jarrah dwelling was built in circa 1940's with extensions completed during the 1990's. The homestead overlooks the beautiful Meelup brook and blooming gardens. There's also a handyman's powered workshop, storeroom, fenced yard, reticulation, 2 rainwater tanks and an old tractor shed. The location is completely private, protected from the prevailing winds and feels like an escape from the rest of the world.

These world class properties are truly the Jewel in the Crown and for those seeking seclusion, wide open spaces, stunning ocean views, pristine nature and somewhere to build the ultimate haven to retreat.

This is an occasion which hasn't been obtainable for decades with the properties being held in the family for approximately 80 years. Seize the moment and secure this exclusive parcel of real estate in the best place in the world.

Dunsborough overview

The townsite of Dunsborough is located on the coast, 12 kilometres southeast of Cape Naturaliste and approximately 19 kilometres of Busselton. It was gazetted as a Townsite in 1879, but land for a townsite was set aside here in the late 1830's, and there is a recorded whale fishery at "Dunsbro" in 1850.

Dunsborough is located adjacent to Dunn Bay from which it derives its name. The bay is believed to have been named by Governor James Stirling , March 1830, whilst on the "Eagle" carrying out a survey of Geographe Bay. It is named after Captain Richard Dalling Dunn, under whom Stirling served on the "Hibernia"120 and the "Armide"38 in 1810-1811 (Stirling named a number of features in Western Australia after naval officers under whom he served or was associated with) When Dunsborough first appeared on a map in 1839 it was spelt "Dunnsbro" but the extra n appears to have disappeared by 1850, and the spelling of "bro" was amended to "borough"when the name was gazetted in 1879.
