What a family getaway!!
Room for everybody and everything!
Guilderton has for many generations been the small, quiet, peaceful, holiday escape located at the mouth of the Moore River only 90 minutes north of Perth CBD.
This enormous eight bedroom, three bathroom, two level home, was completed in 2004 with stunning views of the ocean and river estuary and offers so many options. Inspection of the home is highly recommended.
The rear 462m2 easy care block is accessed by an existing left hand designated driveway to the front facing extra large double remote garage under the main roof which has direct access into the formal entry of the home. The very large 260m2 metal framed home with steel corrugated iron external walls and Colorbond insulated roof, has been extensively refurbished in recent times ready to take to market.
On the lower level there are five double bedrooms, two bathrooms with showers and two WC's. There is a common lounge off the formal entry. A central wooden staircase leads to the upper level where the amazing river and ocean views are the dominant eye-catching feature. On this level a massive formal lounge flows out to the 20m2 front facing balcony, ideal for those evening alfresco barbeques with a wine or beer. The extensive kitchen has room for more than one chef with lots of cupboards and several panoramic windows letting in those cooling breezes. A massive informal dining area could easily seat 14 family members or friends. A further three double bedrooms and well-equipped bathroom complete the upper level.
This is an above average sized Guilderton home commanding one of the best positions in the area!
What a lifestyle! River and ocean fishing, golf course, boating, canoe hire, swimming, surfing, lawn bowls, bush walking and a very active Men's Shed facility and Country Club.

The townsite of Guilderton is located on the coast at the mouth of the Moore River, 94 kilometres north of Perth. It was gazetted a townsite in 1951, but has been used as a camping and holiday place since around 1905 when residents of Gingin petitioned the Lands Department for the creation of a road to the place and a camping reserve. A reserve for a picnic ground was declared in 1907, and the area soon became popular for camping and picnicking In the 1940s public demand for permanent camping sites led to the government deciding to declare a townsite, and seeking a name for the area, which up until then had been locally referred to as "Moore River".
A number of names were considered, the preferred name of "Guilderton" being suggested by Mrs Henrietta Drake-Brockman. The name links the town with the wreck of the Dutch ship "Gilt Dragon" near here in 1656, and the loss of thousands of Guilders it was carrying. Dutch coins and relics of the wreck have been found near the mouth of the Moore River.
