Peaceful Perfection

This might just be the sweetest house on a quiet, tree-dappled street brimming with lovely homes on the Inglewood side of Maylands. The unassuming Californian bungalow style home, bordered by a tall picket fence, appears sweet and petite from the outset yet extends to over 500 square metres of property that has endless options for future reconfiguration at the rear.

Behind the picket fence, a well-manicured front garden precedes a broad balcony with plenty of space to sit and enjoy that last bit of heat from the afternoon sun. Inside, high ceilings, timber floorboards and ornate details are the common thread throughout the home. The two front bedrooms are spacious and neutral-toned, with fireplaces that create a beautiful feature in each space.

Entertaining will surely be done from the large, central living space that is lit up during the daytime from wide windows and on cold winter nights, another character fireplace is there, begging to be lit. Beyond this area is the open plan kitchen and dining, with a brand, spanking new kitchen, all in dove grey tones, ready for new owners to christen.

If you have a small business or flexible work arrangements, there'll be no more working from the kitchen bench - the sleepout here has been converted into a bright home office with views to the never-ending rear outdoor space.

The back garden is where things get exciting… a multi-levelled space that begins with an undercover, outdoor entertaining zone before steps take you to a large lawn for kids and dogs to roam and finally, a peaceful paved area that houses a large storage shed. Well-established, large trees hug the edge of the property and create a lush green canopy for the entire garden. Whether you keep your enormous, outdoor sanctuary or use it to create an extension for the home - there is endless potential to consider.

Beyond the property, this perfect pocket of Maylands is a very short walk from the Inglewood end of Beaufort Street (activewear afficionados will love that Favourite Daughter boutique is around the corner) and because life is all about balance, the lure of General Republic Food Co will be strong on Friday nights for one of their famous sourdough pizzas #IYKYK. The other end of Ninth Avenue takes you to the train line so commuting into the Perth CBD will be a breeze.

This home won't be on the market long with its move in appeal, potential to grow and brilliant location, so contact Phong Pham for a viewing pronto on 0402 859 781.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
