Nestled on a massive block and across the road from sprawling Davies Park in
one of Maida Vale's most tranquil pockets, this charming 3 bedroom 1 bathroom
home is just waiting for your own personal modern touches to be added to some
existing renovations, in order to create the perfect haven that blends old with
new.
Welcoming you upon entry is a functional open-plan living, dining and kitchen
area with solid wooden character floorboards, soaring high ceilings, an open
wood fireplace, a ceiling fan, split-system air-conditioning and splendid park
views from within. The stylish kitchen itself has been cleverly updated to include
tiled splashbacks, double sinks, a microwave nook and modern stainless-steel
range-hood, gas-cooktop and oven appliances.
Double doors off here seamlessly extend entertaining outdoors, to a fantastic
covered patio - ideal for those special occasions and family gatherings. It
overlooks what is essentially a "blank canvas" of a spacious backyard with
established trees, plenty of shade, a large garden/workshop shed in the corner
and heaps of room for a future swimming pool, if you are that way inclined.
Back inside, the sleeping quarters are headlined by a huge master bedroom
with a gorgeous parkland vista to wake up to and three doors of mirrored built-in
wardrobes - sitting opposite a practical bathroom with a shower, separate
bathtub and a powder vanity. A separate toilet can be found off the central
laundry that also enjoys direct alfresco access, for good measure.
A relaxed Perth hills lifestyle beckons, so close to the new Forrestfield-Airport
public-transport link and only a matter of minutes away from schools (including
Maida Vale Primary School), shopping, bus stops, the Hillview Public Golf

centre. The outstanding parkside potential of this promising property simply has
no limits!

This area was first settled in 1873 by William Henry Mead. He built a home in the Ridge Hill area, and established an orchard named "Orangedale". The name of Maida Vale was chosen as the district name by a public meeting of local residents in 1910, and comes from the property name of another early settler, Mr W H McCormack. It is assumed that the name was derived from that of the west London suburb of this name, which in turn is named after Maida (S. Pietro di Maida) in Calabria, Italy. The British Army defeated the French there in 1806, and in commemoration of the victory Maida Hall and Maida Vale were named.
Within the suburb there is a primary school, Maida Vale Primary School, a golf course, numerous parks/ovals, small shops, and a heated swimming pool. Maida Vale retains areas of natural bushland and is not completely built-up with housing.
