There’s a good chance you’ve driven past this boutique group of townhouses a gazillion times and never noticed it. Perched on the top of the hill on the Inglewood border, it blends serenely into its situation. Just the way its occupants like it. Two storeys, rear courtyard, parking at the front door, with generous downstairs open plan living. It’s got all the near-city I wants and then some. Plus plenty of space for booty shaking (maybe close the blinds first). Whether you’re single or part of double, plonk down the couch, hang up your clothes, and choose - party pants or trackies? Home or out, you’re winning either way.
Location-wise, you’re in the pocket the locals fondly refer to as Minglewood. West of the railway line, Inglewood border. It’s 600m to buzzing Beaufort Street with its abundance of cafes, retail outlets and eating & drinking options. If you need a supermarket, Aldi is just at the end of the road. 600m in the opposite direction and you’ve got the Maylands train station, newbie Brixton Yard, and the start of the Maylands social precinct with all its seductions. Nearby Coffee Corner on Railway & Kennedy will become your go-to morning after cure. It’s in the Inglewood Primary and Mount Lawley SHS catchments too. Told you, no-brainer.

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.
The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.
Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
