This architect designed home is the last in the street in a quiet cul-de-sac and adjacent to Mundy Regional Park. In fact it has common boundaries with the park and has stunning views of the bushland and surrounding hills. From the wide timber decks and most of the living areas you can enjoy sunsets and the twinkling night lights of the metro area. Direct city views are possible from parts of the deck.
Being adjacent to the park there are numerous walk trails. You can walk to Lesmurdie Falls, The Cascades and many other attractions. The Kalamunda village centre and all its amenities are less than 10 minutes by car and there is easy access to the city. Falls Road Primary School is the other end of the road and there are many other schools nearby including St Brigids College and Mazenod College.
Designed by Ross McDonald Architect the home was a finalist in the WA Home of The Year 1981.
The soaring raking ceilings create a great space like only an architect home can. All four bedrooms and all of the living areas enjoy bush and hills views. The centrally located kitchen is the hub of the home and has its own stunning views. In addition to the four bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs is a separate study/activity room downstairs. There is also an outside room under the main roof that makes an ideal home office or fifth bedroom with its own access.
To truly appreciate this stunning home and location call Joe Stillisano on 0423 579 966 for a private inspection.

Like Kalamunda, the development of the "Lesmurdie" area is closely tied to the exploitation of the Jarrah forest in the region by the Canning Jarrah Timber Company Ltd. In 1897, Mr Archibald Sanderson, a Perth journalist commenced the acquisition of a number of these properties, with a view to building up a "rural retreat" and he named his property "Lesmurdie". Lesmurdie Cottage was a shooting-box in Banffshire, Scotland, near Dufftown and was let to Mr Sanderson's father for shooting. It was in memory of this cottage that Sanderson applied the name to his property.
The suburb has two shopping centres in the area including Lesmurdie Village on Sanderson Road and the Lesmurdie Road Shopping Centre on the corner of Rooth Rd and Lesmurdie Rd. There are three primary schools including Lesmurdie Primary School, Falls Road Primary School and St Brigid's, and also three high schools including Lesmurdie Senior High School, Mazenod College for boys and St Brigid's College for girls.
