Save your Marriage!

Some people are willing to risk their relationship on a renovation rescue, but unless there’s a million dollar prize up for grabs most of us would prefer to bring in our furniture, fire up the barbecue and get the house warming party underway! If you’re in this second group then this absolutely sparkling home is ready to move into and should be at the very top of your “To-View” list.

This spacious 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home has been stylishly renovated and upgraded from top to bottom – inside and out. It is absolutely stunning with a list of upgrades and inclusions almost too long to list and is sure to tick almost every box your family could ever wish for in their ideal East Kimberley Home.

This is the largest model of the famous Ex-Argyle Diamonds’ built homes from the 1980’s - well known for their livability. Their solid structure, multiple living areas, great storage, flexible layout and typically large blocks make them very popular with local families, but nowadays most of them that come up require some serious renovations or repairs. This one is completely finished to an impressive standard and ready to move in to.

Internally, it’s an almost completely new 4 bedroom 2 bathroom home. Almost every single internal item has been replaced and upgraded including, a fantastic luxury kitchen, stunning bathroom & En-suite, new plumbing, cabinet works, flooring, internal doors, LED lighting & fans, switches and power points, blinds and a fresh paint job throughout.

We really can’t find a box that isn’t ticked inside and the outside features are even more impressive. We could write a novel, but we’ll save you the time and give you the check-list instead…

The 875 sqm block has a 25m frontage plus 6 meter wide (+150 sqm) gravel verges for easy guest parking, fully & separately fenced front and back yards with two separately gated concrete driveways, side-access, an incredible 200+ sqm of combined total area of outdoor undercover entertaining & parking spaces (the rear al-fresco is about 130sqm on its own), plus a super secure lock-up garage/workshop with 3 phase power, secure storage cage, mini-mezzanine, lighting, power and even its own air-conditioning! Yep – it’s got an Air-Conditioned man cave!

A high-tech water softener/filtration system is installed to reduce calcium deposits from the town water supply, quality steel mesh security screens are on all windows and doors, outdoor A/C units are all high mounted to keep them away from bugs and dirt, and there’s new exterior lighting and sensor security lighting to top it off.

Last but not least, the recently overhauled reticulation system takes care of what must surely be a contender for Lakeside’s “Lawn of the Year” prize and the neatly curbed garden beds are simple, easy care and water wise.

The owners have really taken this home to another level inside and out and now it’s time for a new family to move in and reap the rewards.

Surrounded by privately owned properties this sparkling home is being offered to market by open negotiation (online bidding), but could sell at any time after the initial viewing dates occur so if you’re in the market for a high quality family home DON’T LEAVE TOWN!

The last one of these Ex-Argyle 4x2’s we offered sold in just two days and interest is expected to be exceptionally high for this fully renovated version.

Viewing is available to registered buyers only so register your interest to be notified of the scheduled viewing opportunities.

Kununurra overview

The townsite of Kununurra is located in the Kimberley region in the extreme northeast of the state, 3214 kilometres from Perth. When the Ord River Irrigation scheme was being planned in the 1950s a townsite was included in the proposed development. Amongst other submissions of Aboriginal names put forward for the new townsite being created in the vicinity of the Ord River Dam was "Cununurra", said to mean "black soil" and to be the Aboriginal name for the Ord River according to Mary Durack. A Mr. Lewis of the Public Works Department reported that a soil survey undertaken in 1954 had disclosed that 99 per cent of the land to be irrigated from the dam was composed of "cununurra clay". This name was not favoured by the Postmaster-General's Department because of its similarity to place names in Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. However, to compromise, that department suggested adopting the spelling, "Kununurra", this version being approved in March 1960. The townsite was gazetted in 1961.
